I thought two of the bright spots with all the injuries we have had have been Bogans, and Hayes. I am excited to see how they will blend in and contribute when we have a fairly healthy team.

Bogans is a solid addition that has a lot of up side in the long run, next year when he plays his true role of a back up, he'll add a lot of depth to this team.

who cares whether or not he can shoot, don't we have him mainly for his defense?

I sure as hell don't (no offense to him/her, though). Bogans just can't shoot the ball, and he's a two-guard. I don't care how good his defense is (and he's no Bruce Bowan), a guard that can't shoot the ball has gotta go. Just because T-Mac is out doesn't mean that Bogans won't play with Yao. When you have a big man as good as Yao, your role players better suit him. Bogans ain't that guy.

he is NOT a starter, he has some good moments but when you are counting on him to score, he can't do it. He can play off the bench and play well though.

    Dude, you're such a douche.

As for the topic, Bogans was a solid pick up that can be a good backup to T-Mac. When he was coming off the bench, he was playing fine and shooting in the mid 40's. I see him coming back next season as "talent on the cheap".

Baxter for Bogans was one of the few smart moves by Dawson the whole season IMO. Bogans is hardworking, he has passion, no attitude problems. He's quite fast, drives to the rim and defends well. His shooting is streaky and unstable, but he'll improve. Plus the guy's cheap, really cheap. Keep him. He's a worthy player and can prove himself.

Bogans is a 7th man at best, the guy was brought in and played starter minutes. I agree we need shooters but signing Bogans to a very cheap deal to backup TMac would be a good move IMO.

You have to admit that he is atleast a better backup than Ryan Bowen.

What freakin games are you guys watching, seriously i feel like you are talking about someone else, i understand its the offseason now and its time for hatin and tradin, but good lord that guy did nothing but come out every night and play as hard as he could with our crappy roster, and he thinks he is a scorer, where the hell did you get that from, the guys main role on the team was post entry pass, that is all he did on offense, yall are crazy.

lol... that was classic... pretty much what i was thinking though  I mean, the guy's as innocent as a sheep, he's just doing his best to contribute to the team, you can't blame t-mac's back injury on him. who's he gonna pass the ball to? to Bowen, or Yao with 3 guys surrounding him?

me thinks we could do alot worse for a backup SF to a healthy Mac than Bogans.

However my gut tells me Bogans and Swift are the guys definetely on the move this offseason.

IMHO Bogans looks great coming off the bench.

Bogans is young, athletic and on top of it hard working guy. if he was a great shooter on top of that he wouldn't be a backup.

ppl who say he sucks and that he needs too leave need to put down a list of available players who are better than Bogans and are as cheap as he is.

Bogans has a lot of potential. Give him some time this offseason to work on his 3 point shot, and he'll be a very valuable 2/3. He has Mario Elie written all over him.

He should spend all summer shooting 500 jumpers a day.....and 200 FTs.

If the guy could shoot he could make a career.

I still love Bogans' toughness and how he always takes it to the basket. He's like a black Bob Sura. He just needs to get that outside shot going. He has good form and all, he just needs to work on it. It took Wesley a little longer than an offseason to critique his shot and get it to go down, I have faith Bogans will have a very good shot by November.

I cringe when I see the ball in his hands.

how about u look first at Brunson, Bowen, Lampe, Rafer, JHo, an "UNIMPROVED" Head (I think he'll improve a lot over the summer, but who knows?), and Frahm (I am not saying he's bad, but he aint better than Bogans)

Bogans aint bad (we got him for Baxter) ... the dude can play good D and drive well to the basket.. he gives us height at the 2 and he is good in Playing big 2's that David Wes cant play one on one (Kobe for example).. leave the man alone, let him work on his shot over the summer.. he wont get more than 15 minutes next year (hopefully, we will have Reddick or somebody)... but for his contract, he is great...
