So preseason you had us as the 5th-8th seed huh? Seeing as how the Lakers were a consensus top 3 team in the West, where did you have them? And which of the remaining teams did you have us potentially beating out in the West? The Spurs, Griz, Clips, Thunder, or Nuggets?

It may sound cool to say that after this all happened, but if you actually thought we had a chance to be top 5 in the West during the preseason, it proves that you don't know what you're talking about in this case. There is no way you had the Lakers at a 7 seed. How then would you come up with us being a potential 5 seed? If you thought that, that invalidates every other thing you say in your statement before I even have the chance to read it and disagree with it.

Make a thread like DeAleck if you want to play Nostradamus on the GARM. Good luck living up to the precedent he set though.

Experience means jack if you continually make the same mistakes over and over again, and are not held accountable. Even worse, if you're not being lead in the right direction. Wizards are a good example of this.

Funny, I never heard anyone say anything like that. The most optimistic predictions for this team after it became obvious we'd make the playoff were that if we were lucky we might be able to sneak into the second round, but only if we got a really favorable first-round matchup.

Nobody -- NOBODY -- thought we'd make a "deep run", much less a near-unanimous media consensus.

A miracle season. Can anyone even think of a team that went so quick from a broken down old team to a promising young team in as short of a time?

    Truly incredible.

It is true that we need another good move or two to truly be a contender for the championship, but what can you expect.

If the Rox allow Thunder to complete the sweep tomorrow the Rox will have lost 6 straight total to close out the season. To me that would put a dark cloud on what could have been a good come back season for organization. Watching the GSW take care of business against the Nuggets (who we should be playing instead of OKC if Rox took care of their own business) is not helping me feel all warm and fuzzy about this season right now either. Rox are still in much better position moving forward than they were this time last year so I'm grateful for that. Still a looooooooong way to go in some areas for this team though.

If this were a perfect season, given a lot of people saw us just missing the playoffs or barely making it we'd be taking the Thunder to Game 6 or 7.

No team likes getting swept on their own home court. Why do so many fans think we should be happy getting compared to Milwaukee? Aside from the Lin injury, which many prefer Beverly starting anyway, talent wise we still should be doing better then this. The Lakers are using their 3rd string backcourt so they have an excuse but if the Warriors (minus their best big David Lee) can grab one in Denver and come close to taking it all, why should Houston accept this disgrace and claim learning experience?

Half of this roster can be gone by the start of next season, those likely to stay (outside of Parsons) have either been on teams that lost in the playoffs before or are rookies not even playing a lot of minutes if at all. You should accept piss falling on your head and take the guy with his johnson above you in the wind telling you its rain at face value.

Nobody's playing Nostradamus, why are you so butthurt. 5-8 means I predicted the Rockets would place in the lower half of the W Conf playoff bracket.

I'm a Lakers fan and before the season started I was going on about how stupid their Princeton Offense experiment was. I also posted on Lakersground that the Rockets would be a Western Conference darkhorse and catch teams sleeping. Meanwhile people like you had the Lakers pegged as top 3 because you don't understand systems vs personnel - all you do is count the number of all-stars on the team and think you know what you're talking about

I'm not going to say that I was 100% all-in on the Lakers experiment, but to act as though believing they would be a top 3 team in the West (when they have been for years) after adding that talent is some kind of foolish assertion coming solely from roster watching is just stupid on your part. You're a Lakers fan, and you believed you would be barely playing your way in to the playoffs at the end of this season?

Injuries hurt them as well as a coaching and style change, I don't think anyone could've predicted that. They ended the year 20-8, playing like a... you guessed it, top 3 team. Barring injuries to Kobe and co., I still believe that team would be a contender.

How would you ever have had the Rockets going as high as a 5 seed is basically what I'm saying... That just seems like a completely uninformed opinion.

I'm a Lakers fan but I don't have blinders on. I've been telling people since Mike Brown was hired I'm glad I went to the last parade because we're not gonna have another in a while. This season I thought it was stupid we signed one of the best pnr guards in the game only to make him scrap the only system he's ever known, handoff the ball to the wing, and run to the corner where he usually ran into MWP where they would then argue for the next 10 sec who was supposed to be there. Great use of an all-star 1

Coaching and FO moves were horrible. I thought D'Antoni would make it work with some 1-5 pnr once Nash came back but I never saw that. Only reason we made it is b/c Earl Clark suddenly became a consistent rotation player, Steve Blake played ridiculously well after returning from injury, and Kobe carried the team during stretches. I would've never thought Earl Clark or Steve Blake had it in them to make a difference.

D'Antoni also alienated half the team with his benching and 7 man rotations. A lot of the guys who were alienated were the ones he eventually had to play during that run when injuries took out D'Antoni's core. Lakers had their exit interviews today and some of these guys had chips on their shoulders. I liked Glock's interview - the guy was cut before Johnson-Odom, comes back in the playoffs and performs, basically doesn't care about the Lakers anymore.

Far as the Rockets, all I meant is I thought they'd make the bottom half of the W playoff bracket. I thought they were dismissed because of their youth (which is dumb because the Nuggets are not much older and everyone's scared of them). I thought Harden was incredibly versatile, I thought Lin was incredible off the pnr, I thought Chandler Parsons was criminally underrated, and I thought Asik would be a solid anchor. When I heard McHale was gonna make them run, I thought they're gonna be good
