    Per Ansarisu:

    "AND...?!?!!!!!...elaborate pleeeaaase.

I think we should get ULTRA-aggrerssive for Francis. He loves the city. He loves Yao and he won't hurt this franchise. I want Francis back. If Stackhouse, a former scoring champ and all-star can co-exist (and he's a punk) with Dirk, then so can Francis with this team.

I know Van Gundy has objections, but look at what he can do!"

Get after it and get him signed as as soon as his buyout is done.

I just thought I'd point out that in the clip posted earlier of Francis highlights, and there appear to be dozens of them, he makes one assist. I'd still like to pick him up if it's cheap.

Yeah, like Starbury and AI have matured and helped get their teams to the playoffs on a regular basis.

I've noticed that latley, and you can see this in the Knicks highlight clips, that Steve has learned to catch and shoot somewhat decently. I think he'd be great for this team, and with Tracy and Yao in the dominant roles getting all the attention, he'd be an absolutely unstoppable 3rd scorer. I can't imagine the nightmares teams would have after primarily gameplanning for Tracy and Yao, then having Stevie light them up for 30+ because no one is guarding him. Man, we could definitely thrive on that.

Honestly, many of us compare says how bad Francis was, but you know that we are a totally different team now than before.

Compare to the team structure, only a few players can score 3 years ago. Now we are a much better team, we have two MVP like players and we had some Battier, JH.

    Please stop this madness!

Mattress Mac campaigned pretty hard for Calvin Murphy once upon a time.

another reason why i think SF3 would excel in his second tour w/ the rox is because of the players we already have. when steve was here, there were, other than yao, more me-first knuckleheads on the team (i.e., cato, mobley, jj, griffin, mo taylor, etc.) who proved to be bad influences.

Now, the locker room, with the exception of bonzi, is full of class acts like battier, deke, j ho, mac, yao, chuck hayes. I think this will also have a positive influence on francis' game. Like everyone else has been saying, if he was willing to defer to the scrubs on the knicks, imagine what he can do as a legit 3rd option on a healthy rockets roster!

I'd be ecstatic if Steve Francis came back to the Rockets. He would definitely be an X-factor for them if he were to play smart. I'm not really worried about the possibility of him making bonehead plays or screwing up team chemistry because I know JVG would have a short leash on him. T-Mac, Yao, AND Stevie on the same team? My three favorite players... That'd just be too good to be true.

Is there any truth to these rumors? Has anyone reported on the progress?

Webber was bought out, is NY really going to buy out Francis as well?

    Question:

Is Stevie's contract the same one the Rockets gave him?

i believe so. if i remember correctly we just signed him to a max or close to max deal and then traded him like soon after upon hearing that we could get tmac. so francis is makin a lot of money and prob doesn't even need anymore. so if he's bought out, i dont think he'll b lookin for a big paycheck.

What is the Advantage for the Knicks to buy out Steve now as oppose to the summer?

I don't think they will let him go

I concur, they would at the very least sit through this trade deadline, to see if anyone is desperate enough to make a move for him.

i don't see it happening, but I would be happy if it did.

Francis isn't even in NY right now. He's been back in Houston working out for several weeks IIRC. I think it's just a matter of time, Zeke might just be waiting for the trade deadline.

I wouldn't mind seeing Stevie back in a Rockets uni. I know I might get bashed for this, but he couldn't be that much worst than Rafer is playing right now. Hopefully his experience in Orlando and NY has humbled him.

Team is all about chemistry, and I like Stevie but he has not shown a knack for improving team chemistry... or improving at all for that matter.
