We should go after Francis. He sux now because hes not happy over there, u can c it here in the video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPjLlLMs0X0

a, Look at him at the press conference
b, after the dunk no one cared
c, when he bricked the last clutch shot no one in his team cared

I still think he has the passion and if we can get him for the minimum hes still an asset even thought he doesnt work (we can trade him, like bonzi has a value on him even thought hes sukin big time).

    Yao
    J.ho
    Battier
    T-mac
    Francis

Why not? If francis cant learn to share the ball we can just trade him, he has a value even thought hes not playing. At worst we would buy him out (his minimal contract  ).

T-mac / Francis back court. Francis just gotta learn:
    a, Dont overdribble
b, score when ur open. And if ur going to jack up shots atleast keep the fg% over 450.
c, Pass and dont be turnover machine (u can give us 4 assits but dont lose the freakin ball 2 times before u do that)
d, Can hit 3-pointers with 35% (so hes no freakin Alston)
e, Can limit himself to 30 minutes and 6th man role if it doesnt work out for him starting.
f, T-mac and Yao are the man of the team. If u want to be with them do a-e like Battier is becoming a part of Yao/t-mac tandeem.

This isnt hard at all. If you can get francis for a good deal, you do it. I think many overvalued francis and i think the losing humbled him. I think this yr, rafer has turned the ball over too much for my liking and is very uneven. If Francis would get some of those creases rafer gets, the offense would be a whole lot better. Ming coming back along with t-Mac and francis would be very, very good to me. If the rox make the playoffs, having a guy like Francis and Bonzi along with T0mac and yao would be very good against anyone. I guarantee team wouldn't leave francis to go double yao or tracy. they do it all the time with rafer. Sometimes he makes them pay, alot of times he doesn't. In the playoffs you need guys that can get their own shot because most teams will try to take away the 1st and even the 2nd option in the offense. if alll you have is stand still guys or guys that cant attck the hoop, then you dont get to the foul line.

i am sad to say that i forgot how good the franchise was... for all the haters, just take a look at these videos-
on this one, check out the dunks at 2:40 and 3:30... so sensational!

what are you going to tell me? that that was a long while ago?
he still got it... sure not that much. but he can add your 'slashing'. i think we have forgotten what steve gave us during those empty years. reward him. if tmac wants that championship, he will not object. odd it may seem for them, but i think it will work. JUST LOOK AT THOSE MAD SKILLS

Why does everyone seem to think that if Steve Francis DOES come to our team, he will be playing point guard? Jeff Van Gundy has already stated that we're keeping Rafer at point, and With Francis' knee factor.... he not in any position to be running the court. Especially with a basketball!!

The one thing I noticed in the fim clip is that Francis did not pass to an open Yao Ming but took the ball all the way himself.
If reformed we could benifit by his addition to the team!!!!

if we could get francis before the deadline then maybe we could give the clippers head and sura contract for maggette then we would have a rotation of francis, rafer, tmac, bonzi, maggette, shane, snyder, howard, yao, deke, and hayes I say that is a very deep and young team we would be set for a few years even if bonzi doesn't come back

If we can get Francis, there should not and will not be any hesitation from CD. It was a very difficult decision to trade him in the first place. He is a good point guard, but only an average scoring guard. If you ask him to play off Yao and Tmac I am very confident he will step up and play the right way. The only argument against acquiring franchise at a minimum salary would be the dynamic between him and Tmac in the locker room. And I think at this point in their careers, both Tmac and Franchise have proved all they can on their own. I think both players realize the path to greatness passes through the hands of their teammates.

    AND...?!?!!!!!...elaborate pleeeaaase.

I think we should get ULTRA-aggrerssive for Francis. He loves the city. He loves Yao and he won't hurt this franchise. I want Francis back. If Stackhouse, a former scoring champ and all-star can co-exist (and he's a punk) with Dirk, then so can Francis with this team.

I know Van Gundy has objections, but look at what he can do!

He'd be a great fit if he's a) willing to come off the bench, and 2) understands that his minutes may be around 20-22 per game. I think he proved a lot in his time in NY. He proved he's a team player who is more than willing to sacrifice shots and PT for the team, plus his shot selection has improved tremendously.

Anyone who attacks the basket that hard and is more than adequate at both backcourt positions would work well with this team. Him and Bonzi would be our Elie and Maxwell of old; players of agression and intensity.

Wow would you really want Alston to start AND play more min than Francis?

BTW what is the likelihood that Francis is actually bought out?

I never saw Francis as a true PG. He's more of a 2 guard who can handle the ball decently, but he's turnover-prone. He'd be instant-offense type off the bench; a combo guard who could relieve Alston, or even play alongside Alston when the Rockets want perimeter scoring. Alston fits in as a starting PG more than Francis ever would. At this point in his career, if he's going to play on a contender, Stevie would have to settle to be a backup guard who can score and give a team a boost with his penetration and rebounding. I think a bench of (assuming Yao and TMac are healthy) Mutombo, Wells, Snyder, Stevie and Head would be pretty dynamic. And if JVG decides to stick with Hayes as the starting PF, throwing Howard in that bench lineup would make us stronger offensively, with Howard, Wells and Francis our primary scorers in that lineup.

And I think it's VERY likely Francis is bought-out. He's not wanted in NY and he doesn't want to be there. It's only a matter of time.

In case no one has already said this........................

ARE YOU F___ING OUT OF YOUR MINDS!!!!!

How soon we forget the YEARS of watching this over rated, over dribbling,me first basketball imbecile dribble the clock out and go to the basket only to bounce off a waiting line of defenders and throw a bailout pass to an unsuspecting team mate for a last minute, low percentage, desperation shot. Time after time!

Not making it in Orlando, I can understand as they had a lot of talent and he proved himself, quickly to be a guy who actually makes people around him worse.

In NY I cannot understand it. He had a chance to fit in on a team of likewise talented but low IQ players but lasted just a couple of months B4 he was revealed.

You guys think we are that bad that a perenial loser like this can help us?

    Please stop this madness!

When you go through so much as Francis has in the past couple of years, you do mature a bit.

People could change. If Francis has change for the better, he does deserve another chance with the Rockets.

A mature Stevie, with his heart and effort, could really help this team.
