So, Francis may go to 76ers' after his buyout and Webber may go to Knicks after his...............so why not just trade them between the two teams????

In any point, how is this Rockets related, and why is it in this forum? :D :p

SF <-> CW, that will be stupid. If anyone of the two got bought out, they will join a champion contender team. CW is like to go Lakers, I believe; but Lakers can only offer him min.

Our chemistry is rocking right now. I'm leery of tweaking it.

OTOH, these are both talented players, even injured, and if they can be had for the minimum, I say go for it.

Say what you want, but Stevie Franchise would be a huge upgrade over Rafer at the point, as soon as his knee heals.

Just say no to Webber. I'd rather have Padgett, which is who we'd probably have to cut to sign CWebb.

Nix wants SF to 76er, doesn't mean SF wants to. remember his home is still at houston.

C.Webber wants to go a champion team for a ring, and we r the only one team on top rank lacks of PF.

    nuff said. ;)

I just posted this in the other forum, we need a point gaurd to protect the ball, hit an open spot up J and play top notch hard D every min in the game.

Francis does none of these things

Francis is a immature punk and a loser

We are building a team of winners who are responsable and don't ditch team flights when they are making 8 figures to go to the super bowl.

If Alston can start and play 30 minutes and limit his shots to 6 shots and francis comes and steal the other 4 so he shoots 14 shots im all up for it.
Alston 30 minutes, francis 20 minutes PG and 10 minutes SG.
I think Atlanta would benifit more from him thou.
Francis for veteran minimum 2 million + 2 million for Bonzi = Steals.
    C.webb sux.

I'm FAR more interested in the fact that Melvin Ely ($3.3 million) wants to be traded. He's gettable for either the TE or Sura's expiring if coupled with a 2nd round pick. If I were GM, I'd be all over that. He'd be fantastic as a backup at the 4/5. Yes, he's a slacker in the rebounding and defense departments, but he can score and run - something we could really use. Very cheap, even as a rental.

Also - Francis is said to be interested in going to the Sixers, Webber to NY. Pretty humerous.

I would call both of them if they got the buyout......

I would rather have Francis shooting the 3s and driving to the hole than Rafer.

And, Webber is still better than Howard.

Not to mention either one of them fits our 2 weakest areas on the team, and fills the role as the 3rd scorer.

    Yes to SF or C-Webb.

I can't believe I am saying this, but if the price is right, Francis should at least be considered. He surely has matured, some. He is lights out anywhere around the basket, and a great, not just good, rebounder. Turnovers, not good. Defense, not good. Outside shot, fair to good. Distribution, fair. Despite his failings he is an upgrade over O-fer. A healthy TMac, Yao, Bonzi, Francis, and Battier would be a pretty scary team, with an impressive bench.

That's pretty significant on this team.

very good range shooter. Great passer. Still decent on the boards.

a high/low post with yao and c-webb would be pretty potent

the SF side is intersting also, lets face it, SF played his best ball under JVG (not statistically, but he played his best ball as)
