Buyout targets ?

Ellington and Markieff please.

A bench unit of Rivers, Gordon, Ellington/Shump, Kieff and Faired would leave me happy.

I would love deandre jordan but we don't have room with CC KF and Nene

 

Wonder if Wizards Jeff Green gets a buyout. Another range shooting PF.

 

So, the roster as today is:

Capela/Faried/Nene/Hartenstein
PJ/Clark
Shumpert/Green
Harden/Gordon
Paul/Rivers

We definitely need a 4 (Morris) and maybe a wing (Ellington/House), although another center (Dedmon) wouldn't suck either i guess...

 

They've said they want to keep him and Ariza with intentions on re-signing both for next season.

Would they both be asking for MLE? I assumed Ellington would and Markieff would come on a minimum although now that I think about it, that would depend on the demand he has.

 

Shump ain't comin off the bench

 

I don't see the Clippers buy out Green, i actually think West made another steal with that trade, Green will be a pretty valuable role player to have around Kawhi and/or whoever they'll try to sign in few months.

 

We don't have enough room under the LT to sign more than 1 player for the rest of the season at the full veteran's minimum. We won't spend the MLE. (Making an assumption)

Ellington and Dedmon would be nice. You could play Dedmon and Faried together with the second unit. Dedmond can stretch the floor to maintain balance. I think Faried can work with a stretch 5.

You could move EG back to the 3 or whatever. If we can’t get a stretch 4, a stretch 5 may not be a bad option.

I’m still trying to remain hopeful.

 

Washington is a legit dumb organization. What part of John Wall isnt playing next year, when his 5 year supermax kicks in, do they not understand?

Are they going to resign 32 year old Jeff Green and 34 year old Ariza to 2 year deals to compete in 2020-2021?

And that goes without saying, they have just unloaded a lot of their contracts.

Why did they even trade for Ariza in the first place? They havent been in the playoff conversation at any point this season .

 

DeMarre Carroll would have been nice. I assume the Nets are no longer considering a buyout since they're relevant in the Leastern Conference playoff picture.

Most of buyout players want to join a team fighting for Championships.

 

Wayne and Morris is what we need. We can get if they both accept minimum without going over cap right?
