Howard and Frazier are two way players. We have a full squad of 15 players excluding them. I agree with your opinion regarding Bruno.
So playoff roster eligibility is also March 1st. Morey really should reconsider adding Tyler Johnson, Justin Anderson and Jonah Bolden. Rockets are committed to 5 Out and Switch Everything and Tyson, Clemons and Harty are completely unplayable. Other than saving some $, keeping the above 3 makes no sense, for now or the future.
I’m fairly certain they just have to be waived by March 1. Not sure when playoff rosters have to be set, if at all.
Playoff roster has to be set by April 14. As long as a player is waived by 3-1, they can be added to the playoff roster by 4-14. https://www.nba.com/key-dates
I would take Crabbe over Clemons but still prefer Justin Anderson, Tyler Johnson AND Jonah Bolden better.
Just to be clear: Teams can sign players all the way up to the last day of the regular season and have then playoff eligible as long as they were free agents (released / cleared waivers) on or before March 1.
Do not get too.emotionally attached to players not named Haeden, Westbrook, Covington or Tucker. Rockets are mounting a championship run and if you are not a fit, we'll cast you adrift Clemons, Harty and Tyson do not fit.
Last post for me on this thread because I felt the Rockets were done with significant roster moves, but Anthony Rollover appears to be breaking free today. I debate who to release to make room for Tolliver (a player the Rockets coveted last year when he was shooting around 37% from the three point line. Either Thabo who mostly gives you a situational defensive possession or Clemons who is accurate shooting from 30 feet out. I feel Clemons shooting from 3 feet out creates so much space that equates to death of other teams as Westbrook and Harden then have too much space to operate. Even allows Rivers/Gordon enough room to become all star level efficient. Sign Tolliver Morey. Here is Tolliver against Bucks last year. I love the block on Antetokounmpo at the rim.
