Some reason I just don't think the photos from bmwusa do the E90 justice. The car looks better in person. Not as traditional looking as the Lexus is but I like the uniqueness of the 3-series.

I have to admit though, those G35 coupe pics are nice. I can't wait to see what the new 3 series coupe will look like.

I have to agree, that G35 concept is the bomb! Hopefully they don't change too much for the production model. Except the butt, they should tweak the rear of that car a little.

Go with the IS 350 if you want a car that actually works.

It's a little out of range. You might want to check out the IS250, it's pretty much the same car but less horsepower. I think it's plenty of HP for most ppl, plus to you can get it in Manual and AWD (more mula tho)!

I believe only the IS250 comes in AWD, which I wouldn't recommend as the IS250 is a little underpowered and usually AWD variants add weight to the vehicle. so you're looking at a 206 HP vehicle that weights in at probably about 3700lbs+ Not a good combination, especially when the IS350 is about 3550 with 306HP.

You can forget about the IS350 if you want a manual as it isn't offered witha 6-spd yet. If you're looking for auto then your options have been opened.

Now if you're looking at 35K range then the IS250 and 325I are probably more in your range.

The difference here? Even though the 325I misindicates that it has a 2.5L engine it actually has the same engine as the 330I but detuned. both have the same 3.0L engine.

In fact people have been reporting they have bumped the 325I up to the 255 HP of the 330I with just a different intake and computer management software. This may scare you and voice your warranty but the software I believe is easily reversible and the intake can be put back to OEM before you take it to the shop if need me.

Just some things to think about.

IS350 appears to be the performance winner but I'm hoping the rumors of the 3.5L 3-series are true. That will definitely make the decision harder. Again I've driven many cars that are faster than BMW's but there is something about driving a german car that makes the experience just more enjoyable. It's definitely about personal preference so it's very important you test drive each one a couple times before you come to your decision.

    Id get the Lexus.

Ive been driving a RX300 since 2001, and even though I dont take care of it as much as I should, it has given me no real problems.

My mom used to drive the BMW X5, my sister the 330i. They previously drove Lexus RX300's. Both BMWs were newer than my car, and theyve gotten new cars since (infinity M's). They both had problems with their BMWs. Tacky little things. Electric windows getting stuck, sun visors self destructing. Nothing mechanically wrong with the cars, but just stuff that showed poor craftsmanship that you wouldnt expect from a car that expensive. They also said that BMWs customer service was extremely inferior to Lexus. It would take longer and getting a free loaner car was a pain in the neck.

My friend that valets cars as a side job says nothing drives like a Lexus. So smooth!!!

My gf's car is a 1993 BMW 325i. It does not have the quality problems that my mom and sisters car showed. I guess they made them better back then.

Is it true that luxury car dealers do not deal nearly as much as everyday car dealers? I have heard that getting $2k off of the price of a 330i is considered a serious accomplishment. How much validity is there to this?
