Actually, I might (well, not the "unpatriotic" part). After last year's loss in game 5 of the playoffs that sent the match-up back to Houston, I was telling the Mavs fans on the way out of the AAC that "whatever the Dallas Mavs do, the Houston Rockets did it first." I had no punches thrown at me, only response like "Oh Yeah!?? Well the Rockets are going to lose this year." To which I'd respond, "Probably, but it will be in game 7, back here." Big whoop. Didn't change the truth. I have no problem stating the actual, obvious, facts in response to speculative data in an unscientific poll. Plus, I was merely stirring your pot. Worked.
I do that same stuff. Difference is I know I'm being kind of a stupid homer when I do it. I wouldn't actually mistake the Phoenix fans for being wrong. And you didn't really stir my pot. I just can't sleep so I'm on the board. I do appreciate the company though.
Hey Batman, Without looking up anything online, name one thing that you remember about the Democrats' reform package they introduced a few weeks ago. Dean has his work cut out for him.
The exit polls did not have Kerry winning by a landslide. Some polls may have had Kerry winning, but certainly not in a landslide. The ones I saw actually had Bush winning, or a toss up.
OINK OINK OINK Batman, why don't all these polling number that you continuously cite ever turn into Democratic victories? You were the guy that proclaimed John Forbes Kerry had the biggest mandate since Reagan after seeing early exit polls on election day. How'd that turn out for you? OOPS!!! Bush is in office for almost 3 more years. I really hope the libpigs continue with their strategy of anger and divisive politics. America is sick of their whining and moaning. Zero cred and they just look foolish. Just means more CONQUESTS for the good guys...
I see someone had their cool aid this morning. [edit] Hey jorge just a quick question... Who do you despise more? Liberals or terrorists? Just wondering?
What a time for me to finally crash. Good to see you pop in, heypartner. Batman, the response from Bush's supporters was very predictable. Until we start winning elections, that's what you're going to hear from those most ardent in their love for Bush. The good news is that the time is approaching when those ardent supporters are going to be a minority, howling in the wilderness. The repercussions of Bush's failed policies, deceit, abandonment of Republican philosophy on a host of issues, his alienation of most of the world community and our longtime allies, and the graft and corruption that has become impossible to hide or finesse gives me hope for stunning results this fall. The article I posted is just a tiny aspect of what I believe we are going to see this November... a Democratic victory (58%) in a district gerrymandered to elect a Republican. Major gains are within the grasp of the Democratic Party, and taking at least one branch of Congress, in my opinion, is going to happen. It will be like '94, except the GOP will be the party surprised by the hammering they are going to get. In my opinion. Keep D&D Civil.
A poll is one thing, a vote is another thing entirely... I think that's what some here are hinting at.
It would be nice if someone other than GOP had control of one branch of congress. I am doubtful that it will happen in 2006, though. By 2008 it might.
You're being pragmatic. I'm being optimistic, based on what I'm seeing in Texas, of all places. Keep D&D Civil.
Yeah, I should be too. There is no reason to not hope for and predict the best. The Dems will take over one of the branches of congress. Oversight will return. I can't wait.
If George W. Bush were a new car you had purchased, your lawyer would have been on the phone to the manufacturer about two years ago....
forget the rest of these unimportant things....the big news is the appearance of a long lost brutha in the most unexpected place. so now the burning question is....what in the hell is heypartner doing in D&D?
So, you insult liberals as pigs and then claim it is the Democrats that engage in the "strategy of anger and divisive politics?" What a maroon.
That would be very, very good for the country. I've always felt that the ideal is one party controlling the Executive, with the other party holding a modest advantage in the Legislative branch.
