Did he say it was all about winning at any cost? I thought the rub on Butler was that he expected his teammates to take the game as seriously and hates the young players that don't. If he just wanted to win then GS would be on his list too. I don't think all players want to ride coattails like KD.

Do the Knicks, Nets, or Clips have any assets that the TWolves would be interested in????

Knicks are probably stupid enough to mortgage their future but who knows, the Nets already tried to do that 5 years ago, and the Clips roster is full of scrubs and role players...

EGO, TUCK & a 1st sounds just might get it done compared to said options.
If possible though, I'd do everything possible to keep Tuck out of the deal.
However, if it came to it, I'd let him go for that deal....it's too good an opportunity to pass up.

Makes sense, Kyrie and Butler teaming up is real.

lol @ Morey and his claim that we will have pick of players in the off-season.

Also lol @ Butler. Amazing life choices... haha.

Clips - Harris, SGA, Robinson, future 1st

Nets - J.Allen, Russell, Jefferson, Kurucs, Musa, Levert, future 1st

Knicks - Knox, Ntilikina, future 1st

I'm assuming none of these teams would be willing to take on any bad salary either, the plan is likely to trade for Butler and then sign Irving in of offseason. Knicks/Clips have nice pieces, but who knows how much they are willing to give up.

My initial thought of Butler releasing a list it to help Thibs ... as both a solid, to help him get max return, and to encourage contenders (if on the list) to not fear a rental. But this list seems useless (since as Ian Begley says, Mills just said he won't trade for someone he can sign),

So borders on contentious, post meeting, in that it provides Thibs with nothing of use.

    From Woj's article:

" If a team doesn't think it can sign Butler long-term -- or has the salary cap space to sign him outright in July like the Clippers, Knicks and Nets -- the idea of unloading valuable assets in a trade makes less sense now."

Morey should/probably will make his max offer regardless of this list. A prime year with us and having his Bird Rights is worth the risk of free agency. Gotta swing for the fences...

Misdirection guys. Nobody that says he wants to be with a championship contender would list the Nets or the Clippers. Lol.

I don't know the exact goal from Butlers agent, but I sense misdirection here.

    Those aren't scrubs.

Robinson was the 13th pick, SGA was the 11th pick, had a great summer league.

Knox was the 9th pick, had a great summer league. Ntilikina was the 8th pick in last years draft.

Either of those would be great packaged for Butler.

I confident Morey is working on a 3 team trade involving Harris, Allen, Crabbe, Knox, and our 1st round pick.

Saying they wanted to join the Lakers clearly didn’t work out for Kawhi and PG. Players generally want to max out their incomes and go to desirable teams without having their destination teams give up too much in a trade.

This is just Butler’s agent trying something different. He’s got more leverage theoretically if the teams he lists can also theoretically sign him outright in free agency.

Why would Lebron want to go to the Lakers? He wants to be the next Jordan?

Last year, George sent out preferences, and got traded to OKC, which wasn’t on his list.

Kawhi has preferences, and got sent to Toronto, which wasn’t on his list.

Their preferences have no bearing on where they end up.

For what?? To lose together!!! In this era of the NBA , 2 all stars wont cut it. You need elite superstars or 3 superstars to compete in today’s NBA. Too many power teams being created GS,Hou,Bos maybe even TOR.

Lebron is going to wish his ass stayed in the East!!
