Iggy is just outperforming him in apg, but that´s due to him having to play the playmaker role often. I also don´t see any potential in Iggys play, he hasn´t developed in the past years. Butler always had way more talent than Iggy PLUS his contract is better.
says the joke that thinks Butler and Haywood put us over the top ROFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL we shot 34 3's yesterday and Butler is connecting on 27% Butler for his career is almost identical from 3 to Trevor this year
no. It's your a$$ backwards logic that says "If the team is missing all those 3's we should just add a player with a better 3 point %." you must break the windows in your car if you lock your keys inside.
What is better, a guy attempting 83 3´s while hitting 28% of them or the guy shooting 276(!) 3´s while only making 2% more of them??
No. That's not my logic at all. I'm saying that bringing over a guy that we want to become a serious scorer in this offense in which we constantly get three point reps might not be so great if he's an awful 3pt. shooter...
If there was a neither option I'd poke it, but since we're running the offense that we're running these guys aren't extremely attractive to get a lion's share of reps. At least with Iggy he's younger, and a better distributer, and gets his way at the rim all while shooting the 3 a little better...
That´s my point, we would waste our money on Iggy while he wouldn´t help the team winning a championship. Butler is more attractive as a player PLUS his contract is better for our future.
proven winners usually aren't exactly available KG wasn't a proven winner but that worked out alright Amare won't be a proven winner, but that won't keep him from garnering serious attention in 2010
KG took Minnesota to the conference-finals and was MVP, he is a proven winner and a big time contributor for any team.
Iggy is not the best financial option for the Rockets, plain and simple. When you think long term, and movable pieces that give the team flexability, the Washington trade is just hands down the best move. If Iggy was so valuable, then why is only two teams mentioned for the guy: Housotn and Cleveland. We are offering a broken Mcgrady (exp contract) and just imagine what Cleveland is offering. If we got him, and wanted to move him next season, thats is the same crap offer we would recieve for the guy. Butler fills the role we need more. Just plain and simple. Un-basketball related: How old are you hero???
Iguodala doesn't miss any games and contributes greatly himself at his position. We all know we need a legitimate 2 and there just aren't a whole lot of those in the association that can possibly be had. He's taken a team of jokes to the playoffs and hit game winners in the playoffs against teams that advanced to the Finals. He's no KG, but he's amongst the absolute best options we could even hope to find for our deficiencies.
the contracts are what they are...I just prefer Iguodala and I was more or less hoping if we had to give up assets regardless, then perhaps we could shuffle assets and pluck Thad Young or Jrue from Phila. I'm just a youngster myself 21. I'm no old goat like Caron.
If I were your age and thought Haywood and Butler put us over the top I'd wish I could start all over on life.
