I'm with the Iguodala bandwagon before the pipedream Melo surfaced...but after watchin a team usa game, AI is just an average player..good defensively but no offense..dunno about his bball IQ..he commits dumbass turnovers in the usa-brazil game.

Only way I'd want Iguodala is if someway Morey makes it a 3 way with Denver and we net Billups.

    Billups
    Martin
    Iguodala
    Scola
    Yao

That would give the Lakers fits.

Billups is already old. I'd rather have Brooks who already gave the Lakers fits last season.

I'm off the Iggy bandwagon after watching him at the tournament.

Well you know Duncan absolutely sucked when he played in Fiba as well.

To all the people that won't trade Hill or CBud or both or... for Iggy or Mello:

Morey has very carefully gathered high quality low cost assets that he can use to make us better. Teams win in the playoffs win 8 players. Depth can help you through a rough patch during the regular season with some injuries but if you aren't healthy come playoff time, you will lose.

You always trade two/three quality bench guys for an allstar that fits. ALWAYS.

Morey can buy a couple more draft picks and get us another CBud/Hill. They are pawns and Iggy is a Knight.

Morey has collected great pawns and I like some of them a LOT (cbud/lowry) but that is all they are.

See thats the thing.. Iggy isn't an All-Star - his just an above average role player, his in the same 'tier' as Kevin Martin and Aaron Brooks-

I would gladly trade some of our young guys(pawns)for a legit All-Star like Granger or Melo. But not for a above average role player on a longterm expensive contract like Iggy!

While you are technically correct that Iggy has never been selected to an allstar game, he is an allstar quality player. The allstar game is a popularity contest not a true representation of the talent of a player. I'll hold to my statement that trading any number of bench players(to meet salary requirements) to put Iggy in our starting lineup would be beneficial to the Rockets.

Yeah, but I've personally never cared for Duncan. He's a good player and puts up good numbers but I don't consider him great by ant means. He is a all-star, but again IMO a all-star by default of playing at a time of no true great centers.

I just mentioned this in another thread. We have too many good players, come playoff time only 8, maybe 9 will see minutes. Someone is gonna be traded.

Pass on Iggy. I don't want to trade any rotation player to get him.
