To be honest and not cynical, I don't think we have nearly enough information to guess at the backstory on why McCabe got canned. I don't see why Wray would force him out at this juncture just because the White House told him to. I also don't see any reason why Wray would allow him to ride off into the sunset with a pension and a fare-thee-well if there was serious wrongdoing in this memo that Wray could actually take seriously. If McCabe had abused his power, there should be charges or something. Something happened this weekend.

Money laundering charges would preemptively force strong actions.

We'll, if Town hall says so. But honestly, looking forward to all of it becoming public. Let Mueller put his stuff out there to.

he has been. everything Muller's team has found has been leaked immediately to the press. In fact, its been shown from the FBI texts that Mueller's team was leaking information.

Let me guess... You just read the tweet.

Here is what they are actually reffering to in the NYT aritcle:
Here are the facts. McCabe was about to retire. He was so close to retiring he could retire now(which he did) and use up his remaining terminal leave days( I did the same thing when I finished my enlistment).

The current director obviously knows this. The opportunity cost to keep McCabe in his current position when the current President of the United States is on a mission to remove him using whatever propaganda necessary, even if all the hearsay is false ,wasn't worth him hanging on to his position for another couple of months so the director thought maybe he can just finish his last months at another position.

To jump to a conclusion that "omg the FBI director found a smoking gun and forced him to resign" is hilarously asinine.

Had they found anything interesting, it would have already been leaked by his team of partisans.

#1. I personally haven't jumped to a conclusion. I simply quoted the article.
#2. We'll know more when the memo is released. Having said that, the above quote certainly raises eyebrows about what is in the I.G. report wouldn't you say?
