I think he's overtaken Todd Marinovich for the biggest bust to become an even bigger moron...

He's effectively a heroin addict. If you want to know what goes on in his head, think of Behind the Music" when Motley Crue guy leaves the hospital after his heart stopped from an OD, and the first thing he did was go score some heroin and get high.

Big surprise when a junkie acts like a junkie. I mean, its not like the guy has some great future waiting for him if he just gets clean. If I were him, I'd probably be looking to get as high as possible for as long as possible, too.

I think the most amazing part of the story is that Ryan Leaf has a publicist.

This is a sad case of addiction. I hope he is able to overcome it.

During the Leaf vs. Manning debates before the draft, were their danger signs of his character at Wazzu? I don't remember the talking heads saying anything. I remember Manning being labeled a choirboy, but nothing about Leaf being a huge character risk.
