I honestly thought i'd never see another in my lifetime. Though for sure George would go to the grave with it and make his kids promise never to make more or something.

He held it back and ruined the prequels so i think people should be happy. B4 making 7-9, they should reboot 1-3. lol..

No worries. Michael Bay will be on the project after finishing Transformers 4.

I figured someone would eventually tap that money keg. I also figured he'd be dead first.

I just hope they don't make it look so cartoony. The CGI/animation in those movies made them look so terrible. Of course living up to the original trilogy is damned near impossible.

They definitely need to get back to real set locations mixed with CGI. Something like Prometheus for example. Gorgeous looking film compared to a fake looking cgi fest that is the prequels.

Fat chance, this is Disney... also ILM is nearly fully digital now, so they "sell" their work by showing off what they do in Star Wars.

Disney owns Marvel - I expect something Thor / Avengers-like

Well then i hope they are up to Avatar standards. That movie still holds up in entire cgi locations. They also need to give Cameron a call about 3D to do that right bc we all know it will be 3d.

The original actors are fat and sloppy looking except Harrison, but i guarantee when they see those $$$, they will get themselves cleaned up and in better shape to make more movies. Though hopefully just cameos no bigger than Spocks in Abrams Star Trek.

It will be really ironic if these movies are better than the prequels.

The New President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, will be under Alan Horn at Disney - While at Warner, Horn got Nolan for Dark Night and did the Harry Potter movies. I've got my hopes up..

Um, no, lol it would actually be IMPOSSIBLE for them to NOT be better than the 'prequels'. The 'prequels' are the worst cinematic abortions in movie history. The only thing that would be ironic would be if the new ones are actually worse than the prequels.

    Anyway...

Whedon for the next Star Wars movie, anyone?

I say a big fat YES!

What director worth his salt would not JUMP at a chance to be the one to redeem the greatest movie franchise in history??

    This is FANTASTIC news

There is a lot of nostalgia about the OT, but other than the empire strikes back they were pretty cheesy.
