Its obvious that GW Bush isn't a good speaker which is a bad thing for a President but what I find more disturbing is how many people admire his garbled grammer because it means he's "plain spoken." No wonder our education system is so bad that we prize bad grammer in our political leaders. Daniel Webster, Patrick Henry and Abraham Lincoln must be rolling in their graves when "Bring em on!" passes for great oratory.
I wasn't sure if it was because people are so partisan that when they agree with GW they ignore or don't hear his shortcomings or if they don't want to hear his shortcomings or if they really don't understand his shortcomings or actually talk like he does ( your take I think ). It's pretty sad if plain spoken means talking like a cretin.
I'll own up to being opposed to GW Bush because of his policies but they're are a lot of politicians who I politically despise yet still think they're good speakers. I think Pat Buchanan is a paranoid borderline Nazi thug but he can deliver a great speech unlike GW Bush.
