Maybe in comparison to hand timers they add .08 seconds. So it's not less accurate, you just have to subtract for comparison purposes.
Bench press seems really useless for football. Maybe for lineman it's helpful but I owuld guess squats are probably a more reliable indication of overall power - if your just using your hand to block somebody, you're one or both of: 1. lazy, 2. holding. For running backs - I think it's even more useless.
Last time I watched olympic track they didn't add or subtract any time from the sprinters. Anyways, lets not nitpick -- incredible day for Reggie - blinding speed and 24 reps is sick for a 200 pound guy.
But in the Olympics, everyone is timed electronically, so there's no need for the adjustment. I think they subtract the .08 seconds so that they can compare hand times to electronic times more accurately.
True...probably quite useless, but its still weak for a guy his size. Might make you question is work ethic in the weight room. Not a big deal though, just a little surprising.
Since when was 24 reps for a 202 pound guy weak? There were alot of players bigger than him that couldn't do 24. Get on this site: http://www.nfl.com/draft/analysis/individual_workouts
Obviously... RocketsFan007 told me already. But you just wanted to slip that in so you could take a shot at me.
I was expecting Bush to run his 40 in the low 4.3's. I would've been dissappointed if he ran in the 4.4 range.
If these numbers are true imagine what we could get for trading out of the number 1 now! Just kidding...maybe.
They just showed clips from Bush's workout on FSN, and the guy's upper body looked MASSIVE. He's defintely hit the weight room since the season ended.
