sometimes i wish there was an alien invasion so people can get their stupid priorities straight. the aliens dont care about abortion, they dont care about wiretaps or stupid cartoons or gayz. they care about eating humans and taking our water. that would be a great day in world history, where people really figure out 99% of the crap they believe in is worthless.

Why do you think he lowers the collective IQ? Believe it or not, it takes a high level of intelligence to do what he does, it's very obvious to me, not easy to simplify the subjects discussed here and find humor in them in his complicated manner. To me, tinman is one of the very few who posts in the D&D that makes complete sense in all of his posts, and I don't agree with him all the time, most of the rest are too blind to see past your own prejudices. Peace!

I see you have bought into the spin. The liberals and those opposed to warrantless wiretaps do WANT THE GOVT. TO SPY ON U.S. CITIZENS INVOLVED IN TERROR.

You are no longer entitled to have one branch of the govt. check the other branch in order to protect your rights. That has been stolen away, or perhaps just given away by people who don't mind.

I am by no means an expert in U.S. history, but I do know enough to see how the executive branch has abused powers before, and how they can claim to be doing something for national security but are infringing on citizens liberties for causes totally unrelated to national security.

I wouldn't trust Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton, Russ Feingold, George Bush sr., or anyone else with that power. I happen to cherish the bill of rights, and I want to hold on to every single right granted by it. But I especially don't trust this particular president who has done little to prove he is trustworthy.

The common citizen who speaks on the phone to someone over seas can be spied on without any form of check or balance because terrorism is such a threat. Yet the folks involved in the leaking the name of a covert CIA agent who was directly dealing with the middle east and WMD's can still have the top level security clearance priviledges and not have them revoked. This is who I am supposed to trust without any form of oversight?

I am all for going after terrorists. I supported Afghanistan military action, and I SUPPORT EAVESDROPPING ON AMERICAN CITIZENS. But having some form of oversight in the process isn't going to make it more dangerous for us.

You may not care about your rights, and that is something you are entitled to, but don't be surprised or offended when I want to hold on to mine.

I'm sorry but the chances of a terrorist attack killing any one of us are almost nil. One man abusing his power to take away our rights are certain based on the fact that it is already going on. GWB is a greater threat to the American way of life, than the terrorists.

    thanks jump!

its true, no one here has a sense of humor. im trying to rattle everyone, i dont descriminate. i must be the last person on earth who hangs around both
yoga training, bush hating, organic food eating vegans and river oaks country club, daddy paid for everything, private school yuppies. im one of the few people with a real opinion. i notice people angry at the jihadists, everyone here are jihadists. they going on extreme rants because someone dissed their point of view. like when i dropped the 'bush threw the drink on ron artest'. none of suckers out there can drop a joke like that. you can take it either way, that im satirizing that bush is the cause of all contreversy or you can take it as bush is a war monger starting shizznit up.
    see???

i want you all not to worry about the prom.

cause i took ALL YOU BEAATCHES OUT!!

im not dissing your point of view. i believe if you believe strongly in something than that's cool. but dont go bonkers on your point of view. like the dude who killed himself when bush won or those idiots who wanted to move to canada. just back it up with your thoughts and dont be a poser. no one likes posers on either side. its the vanilla ice saying he's from the hood theory.

you know its like animal rights. i like dogs and cats being treated nice, but im going to compare eating chicken to the holocaust! i'm sure PETA will never turn people into vegetarians. they should be concentrated on helping pet population, not trying take down KFC.

pimple, i've been out of school for a while now and i don't want to belittle bus drivers, i mean someone has to take the kids to school, but you are in no position to take me anywhere. i don't find your posts amusing because they are middling, no, actually they are irritating. if you don't give a **** then why do you even jump into a debate and discussion thread? look, you obviously have a fan club so i'll drop it but know this, your monkey's kung fu is not strong ....

Whoa, are we moving too slow?
Have you seen us, Uncle Remus?
We look pretty sharp in these clothes
    (Yes, we do)
Unless we get sprayed with a hose
It ain't bad in the day
If they squirt it your way
'Cept in the wintah, when it's froze
And it's hard if it hits, on your nose
    (On your nose)

    Just keep your nose
    To the grindstone they say
Will that redeem us, Uncle Reemus?
I can't wait til mah 'fro is full grown
I'll just throw away my doo-rag at home

    I'll take a drive to
    Beverly Hills
    Just before dawn
    And knock the little jockeys
    Off the rich peoples lawn
    And before they get up
    I'll be gone
    (I'll be gone)
    Before they get up
I'll be knockin' the jockeys off the lawn
    (Down in the dew)

Q Scott, I apologize if I'm still confused, but I wonder if you could tell us a bit more specifically what has changed since October, when we were told that discussing details of this plot was inappropriate, and today? What has actually changed since October in that regard?

MR. McCLELLAN: I think I described it to you; I don't know how I can be more clear to you. This is something that we had been talking about with the intelligence community in looking for a good example to highlight for the American people about the type of international cooperation that goes on that helps us disrupt plots. I think that's important for the American people to have a clear understanding of, so they have a clear and better understanding of the threats we face and they have a better understanding of the efforts that are going on around the world to disrupt plots. So that's what this was.

And as time goes by and you continue to look at this and take into account the sensitivity of sources and methods and ongoing counterterrorism efforts, you are able to provide more information.

Q So sources and methods would have been compromised in October, but not today?

MR. McCLELLAN: Well, Peter, we're always looking for ways to provide the American people with more information and that's what I said to you earlier -- maybe you didn't quite hear all that -- but we're always looking to keep the American people informed about the threats we face and provide them better context and better understanding of what we are doing to confront those threats. So that's what this was about, and so that's something we're always looking at.

Q But that wasn't actually the question. The question was, would sources and methods have been compromised in October, but wouldn't be today?

MR. McCLELLAN: Well, the intelligence community said that it was okay to talk about the information that we provided you today and the President spoke about. So like I said, there is ongoing efforts that we look at to provide the information to the American people, and this was --

Q It was not okay in October to talk about that level of detail?

MR. McCLELLAN: I didn't say that. What I said was that they said that it was okay now to talk further about this specific plot.

Q Would it have been okay in October, but you chose not to?

MR. McCLELLAN: I don't know how many times you're going to keep asking the same question.

Q As soon as I get an answer.

MR. McCLELLAN: I think I've answered the question.

Q Can you say when you started trying to get it declassified so you could talk about it?

MR. McCLELLAN: Well, when we were talking about doing this speech, we were looking for a specific plot that we could talk about in more detail?

    Q So two weeks ago?

MR. McCLELLAN: Well, the speech has been in the works, as I say, for at least three weeks.

Q So three weeks ago you decided you wanted to try and declassify this particular --

MR. McCLELLAN: Martha, I can't tell you the specific time. But, again, two things -- one, we're always looking to keep the American people informed and provide them additional information like this. Two, we were looking to give this speech and talk about the international cooperation that's going on and how successful that is and how important that is to confronting the threats we face. So in that context, we were also talking in the intelligence community, is there additional information we can provide. And I think a good starting point was some of the plots that we had talked about last year, in a general sense.

Q But you say you don't want to give a specific date, but is it fair to stay that you started looking at this when you started looking at giving this speech?

MR. McCLELLAN: Well, I think our Homeland Security Advisor provided a briefing earlier today. I don't really have any additional information to provide than what she did and beyond what I just told you.

Q Are you trying to get more declassified?

MR. McCLELLAN: I said we're always looking at ways to be able to provide the American people important information about the war on the terrorism.

Q The specific incidents that the President has cited before, are you trying to get those all declassified?

MR. McCLELLAN: We'll keep you posted if there's additional information to provide. Nice try. (Laughter.)

She dashed by me in painted on jeans
And all heads turned 'cause she was the dream
In the blink of an eye I knew her number and her name yeah
Ah she said I was the tiger she wanted to tame

    CHORUS
    Caribbean queen
Now we're sharing the same dream
And our hearts they beat as one
No more love on the run

    Shut up!!!

Hey! You over there, I know about your kind
You're like the Independent Network News on Channel 9
Everywhere that you go, no matter where you at
I said you talk about this, and you talk about that
When the cat took your tongue, I say you took it right back
Your mouth is so big, one bite would kill a Big Mac

You talk too much You never shut up
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never shut up

You talk about people, you don't even know
And you talk about places, you NEVER go
You talk about your girl, from head to toe
I said your mouth's moving fast, and your brain's moving slow

You're the instigator, the orator of the town
You're the worst when you converse, just a big mouth clown
You talk when you're awake, I heard you talk when you sleep
Has anyone ever told you, that talk is cheap

Talking is the one thing, that you can do best
You told the cavity creeps, to watch out for Crest
You never have the story, right and exact
And then you always try to bore me, with your yakkity yak

You talk too much And then you never shut up
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!

Everyday you are out fighting someone in the street
And you're always fighting someone you know ya can't beat
Then you wonder how, you got in this mess
Just think of what you said, then take a guess

You're always spreading rumors, whether bad or good
You're the dang Walter Cronkite of the neighborhood
The Barbara Walters, and the Howard Cosell
You always come around, with a story to tell

Said it's everybody's business that you love to mind
And talkin to you, is like dropping a dime
You're spreading the word, like it is your job
You should be a stool pigeon, who works for the mob

A big blabbermouth, that's what you are
If you were a talk show host, you'd be a star
I said your mouth is big, size extra large
And when you open it, it's like my garage

You always like to gossip, just like a girl
You talk so dang much, it's outta this world
When you're reincarnated, in your second life
You won't be a man, you'll be a nagging wife

Twenty-five hours, eight days a week
Thirteen months outta year, is when you speak
I'm tired of listening to the garbage you talk
Why don't you find a short pier, and take a long walk

You talk too much Then you never shut up!
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!
You talk too much You could be, out of breath
You talk too much Man you naggin me to death
You talk too much Tired of hearing you speak
You talk too much Eight days a week
You talk too much Then you never shut up
I said you talk too much Why don't you ever SHUT UP!!!
You talk too much Then you never shut up!
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!

    SHUT UP!!!

-Run DMC, 1985... sound like the theme for the D&D? :D
