wow don't you know there are already big questions right now about DD's health? He isn't 100%, not even sure if he will be ready when the season starts. RB is one of our biggest holes, i'll say it again.

And another thing, the Saints love Reggie Bush. He has donated a substantial amount of money to the city and the Katrina relief efforts already. The guy just got a contract similar to VY and Mario, why is he such a bad guy again?

I never said "bad guy"... I said money hungry.

Holding out--ok, ok, it was a mere 2 days before practice--hurts your team's chemistry and in the clubhouse you will be sorely missed. Practice becomes different and everyone's attention (screw the media) revolves around when "the superstar" will be back. You wouldn't love me if I held out because "my contract is not done yet". If that's not a big deal to you, I don't know what it is.

 Could you put that a different way so I can better understand it? Call me slow.

They're football players. I would expect THEM to be slow. ;)

I meant, it hurts the team. It distracts every player to be questioning when "crybaby superstar" would be with the team.

well, you could say Williams is money hungry too. just b/c he got a deal done prior to the draft doesn't mean he wasn't trying to break the TExans' bank. just look at his contract, 26 MILLION GUARANTEED. the only difference is the timing. and a couple grand or mil.

Mario Williams didn't hold out and make his team wait on him. Or is that a good thing for the backup...? I mean that if the holdout player is not in his position, the backup can show what he's got? Maybe?

Who cares...Bush won't be an impact player...You'll see some highlights on ESPN, but they'll still lose a lot this year...

Thats because the Texans offered him a reasonable contract up front, there was no need to hold out. The saints evidentally did not offer a reasonable contract to Bush, especially compared to what the #1 and #3 picks got. Bush did not really hold out any longer than VY did, it just took a while to get the deal done and to get both sides to agree. Leinart still hasn't signed unless he did recently. Stop the Bush bashing. It is unwarranted.
