Um no, the bickering between Hillary and Obama in the primary season set up huge opportunities for the GOP to catch up, which they did. If not for the Wall Street crisis and Palin interview gaffe, it's anybody's race. The nervousness felt by the Obama campaign in the days after the Republican convention wasn't a pretty thing, ya know.

Failed analogy. Bush and the Congress represent the two closely connected branches of the U.S. government. The connection between Yao and China's government/policies, if any, simply does not compare.

Ironically, Clinton's prolong campaign gave us much more opportunities to vet Obama. Republicans now could find no fresh smear material due to Clinton's last ditch kitchen sink tactic. As a result of the extended primary, Obama became a stronger, more seasoned, and more debate-ready candidate.

So, a big thanks to all the Republicans who voted for Clinton in the primary. :)

It also gave him a huge start in building organizations in places like NC and VA.

Pretty crazy times considering the 2001 attacks and the credit crisis.

As much as I would like to blame him for both I don't think its intellectually honest.

I blame him for the attacks more than I do for sub-prime crisis.

I get depressed every time I look at the approval ratings(congress or president).

Have we really fallen this far in just 8 years??
