I don't know exactly what your last sentence means, but I would think an independent Republican would pay for his own hunt rather than have some guy he had just done a political favor for fund the whole thing. And, the use of "Bush Official" is appropriate as he was a political appointee. I might add, an appointee in Interior, the Department most closely linked with the Abramoff scandal.
You are missing my point. Political favour really is irrelevant in this case. Is Smith incapable of setting up his own uh, *cough kickback? Why can't it simply be "Smith shoots a bison" or "Political Appointee shoots a bison?" Did Bush tell him to do it? I'm not sure it was done on purpose (ie. politically motivated, though coming from Washington Post, it's surprising). The Dems don't currently have a president, but if one is to shoot a, say... bald eagle, do you say Hilary Clinton aid shot a bald eagle?
Now I have to suffer through quotes. I always wondered why R2K got so bent out of shape when someone quoted a member he disliked, thought incompetent, or both. R2K, now I understand. It's OK, rimrocker. I'll cope. Keep D&D Civil.
Canned hunting is a huge issue in South Africa(i found that out when i went there for my study). it is killing domasticated animals(who are mostly Normaly free living animals, so in Africa they are Lions, leopards, Buffelo, rhinoAll the antilopes ETC). Mostly these animals are drugged and they cannot escape because they are in a fence. So it is actually trying your best not to do any effort and still get the Trophy. (Also mixing species can be a part of Canned hunting, so breeding a lion and a tigers togheter. Because a part tiger part lion's head would be nice on the wall).
Yes, although I'm not sure if you are talking about MFW. He could be anywhere on the political spectrum with his claws retracted.
GEEZ!!!!!!!!!! So canned hunts are legal in the U.S.????? As I said I am an avid hunter but I would see the joy in having to find something that is trapped and just kill it.
Unfortunatly it is a big money making thing for african countries, Tourist from all over the world come there to shoot the animals, and canned hunting is a very popular thing. this magazine had some great articles about canned hunting. http://www.africa-geographic.com/ Unfortunatly their Archive is temporarily offline. The good thin about this magazine is that is not a ultra green magazine, they also show the other side of the stories, and mostly they do not really take a stance, they just give information, and not opinions(however they did give their opinion about canned hunting)
You must be new to this forum. If it couldn't be made to make Bush look bad in some way, it doesn't get posted to begin with. Some dude killing an animal two years ago isn't news, but if you can attach Bush's name to it somehow, you have yourself something worthy of a thread.
What's the big deal about canned hunts. These animals are inferior life forms, I don't see the issue. Not to mention... "Bush official" is really irrelevant. You're just being bitter, as usual.
I used to go on canned hunts when I was a kid. You would collect as many as you can, then crush them with a hammer (that was fun), then take them down to Safeway and they would give you money for them. Not much money, but when you're a kid, any amount is good. We would take the money and go buy football cards.
Is a bison a wild animal or a domestic animal. I guess it's a domestic animal because how many wild cows have you seen. Then again, how many cows have you seen nestled by the fire bringing you slippers? Not a lot. Probably about none.
I used to collect bottles. Got 2 cents a piece for them. That was when 2 pennies were worth 2 cents. Keep D&D Civil.
