There seem to be a lot of rumors floating around DC and in certain other circles these days. Over the next few years, and particularly after Bush leaves office and folks start writing memoirs, we might be able to figure out if some of them are actually true. I do think we can all be grateful that there is no Scaife or Starr or Falwell or Robertson on the Left to really fan the flames with this stuff and drive it into the minds of the general public. The public positions and policy of this administration are scandal enough.
I seriously doubt there is anything to those rumors, but if there were and it became public, you would have to attach a pair of 45lb weights to either side of my mouth to get the smile off my face.
I agree with that. We don't need to stoop to their level. The public is finally starting to, "get it," with regard to the GOP campaign tactics of personal destruction, instead of debating the issues. I'd be smiling, too. I doubt that there is, but it'll come out eventually, if true. Someone will want to sell books! Keep D&D Civil.
I hope you are right. Are you basing this on the 29% polling? I fear he would be doing just fine in the polls except for those obstinate Iraqis.
