I've been watching it and Barack is doing an excellent job. I wish the audio was a bit better (from CNN). Great to see an immediate response to Bush's ludicrous statement!

    Impeach Bush.

Saudi Arabia does not equal "the 9-11 hijackers". You don't know how to spell hijack, by the way.

That's disgusting and reflective of the depths to which you will stoop to misrepresent your case.

If the libs would let us produce our own oil & gas we wouldn't be begging other nations as much for permission... The libs hate exporting jobs, except when it comes to the oil & gas industry. Tells you something...

The classic misdirection: page 453 of the Propaganda For Dummies book. Nicely played.

Oops! Looks like Jr just got a big fat "uh...no" from Saudi Arabia.

Saudis rebuff Bush's request to pump more oil

Pretty sad when you can't rely on your oil buddies to bail you out.

The dirty little secret that the Saudis don't want anyone to know is that they CAN'T produce more barrels a day than what they are currently producing. That's why the supply side of the global oil/gas picture is so hideous. Don't believe anyone who tells you that it's "speculators" that are driving up the price, or that it's not supply/demand driven. It is supply/demand driven -- in a big, big way. Trust me on this one.

So, if supply is inelastic, why don't you tell us how you feel about McCain's idea for a gas tax holiday? After all, if what you say is true, such a policy would be about as good as the US government writing a fat check straight to oil producers.

Ummm - wrong. McCain is clearly saying that it's a "new reality in the middle east" and that he recognizes they are the gov't because fatah failed - and by dealing with them he means working with them, no different then Obama - who by the way has unequivacally refused to meet with Hamas.

Therefore, McCain had a far greater willingness to engage Hamas then Obama does today.

You have lost this round buddy. Your McCain is the man who is more likely to meet Hamas by his own words. Obama has rejected, McCain has entertained it.

So I guess the President can't make any foreign policy statement anymore without the in-the-tank-for-Obama jumping all over him and crying foul... ridiculous. The Obama camp is very desirous to elevate his status to one that can exchange in a dialogue between Bush or McCain -- and escape the Hillary debate. Clearly, Bush's statement was generic in nature, and if directed at anyone, it's directed at Jimmy Carter. It's just so arrogant of Obama to assume that he is the center of attention. Why would a guy with zero foreign policy experience (sorry, not counting the college years trip to Pakistan), be the center of a foreign policy exchange in Israel? Makes no sense. Typical Obama arrogance.

It's all a distraction technique from Obama's camp. They want to distract from debating the REAL issue, which is how to deal with terrorist organizations. Honor them by sitting down with them (Obama's position)? Or hold strong against them? That's the choice. Instead, Obama wants to use Bush's speech to heap attention on himself and elevate his status. Obviously Obama can't hold McCain's jock strap when it comes to foreign policy, so his approach is to play the victim/sympathy card to try to lure attention aware from the *real* issue... Don't be fooled, Americans.

i still dont understand....Appease the terrorists? Which is why we're not doing anything in Iran? And we're actually friends with Saudi Arabia (oil) and Pakistan (they're supposedly helping us fight terrorism). There are more extremists in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and especially Pakistan than in Iraq. I dont understand how this guy thinks...He's not trying to appease the terrorists, yet we're friends with Pakistan, a country who has NEVER fully cooperated with the US and where Al quaeda is the strongest.
Yet, bigtexx is upset with Obama for alienating Pakistan....I guess he wants to appease the terrorists too.

This is a different kind of war. We're never gonna be able to kill them all, or until they surrender...The way to win it is to piss off as few of them as we can. This is what Bush and McCain cant understand. It'll also be smart to eliminate immediate threats to our country...such as the Islamic extremists. we're not doing that: Whatever happened to the war in Afghanistan?

Let's see - how Bush deals with terrorists or states that sponsor it:

    1. Let the head of Al Qaeda escape and remain at large.
    2. Also American's number one enemy - Al Qaeda regroup and become stronger then ever
    3. Continue to allow the Iranians to develop nuclear weapons
    4. Allow N. Korea to develop N weapons and export nuclear technology to IRan and Pakistan
    5. Fail to clean out terrorist groups from Iraq

Bush/McCain foreign policy has been a disaster. Anyone could do a better job - I mean anyone including Pee Wee Herman.

I mean, Obama couldn't do worse if he intentionly tried to. Hold a jock strap to? The last 8 years has been a total nightmare. You want to continue it?

You've hit exactly why this is an issue. Nobody on the Democratic side is in favor of appeasing terrorists. Yet Bush will try and scare people into believing that's the case.

McCain is making a huge mistake not separating himself from those comments, and instead backing them up. McCain will get swamped in a foreign policy debate, which is one of the reasons McCain has recently flip flopped on yet another issue, and is now talking about withdrawing from Iraq.

It really gets tiresome posting arguments about Obama's foreign policy foibles, only to get "BUSH SUCKS" in return. I guess these are the 'new voters' that Obama has brought into the fold .... aka the politically disoriented and naive.

Who has voted right along Bush through his freshman term in the Senate on all matters related to Iraq? Obama.

Who had the knowledge, vision and LEADERSHIP to denounce Rumsfeld and suggest a change of strategy in Iraq -- a change to a counter-insurgency strategy -- called the surge (which has worked)? McCain.

You tell me who represents change and who represents more of the same...

Obama is just in over his head and lacks the experience and leadership to take the reigns. McCain has done it in Congress and in person. He has credibility and the confidence of the military. What does Obama have? A bunch of new voters who frankly don't really know what's going on...

How can it be appeasing when you gaze into the dreamy eyes of authoritarian rulers like Putin and Mushariff and look into their hearts?

My friend, Obama should heed Bush's gut feelings. That week old White House enchilada is anyone's ticket to the voice of God.
