It will be interesting to watch your newfound disinterest in Middle East events.
When a Jew civilian dies, it is huge news. When a Palestinian civilian dies, it is small news and almost expected as if it is commonplace. That is the perception I get from the ME and the news coverage. Israeli military can just say "sorry" that we launched a bomb into a crowd of Palestinian civilians or shot a Palestinian boy throwing rocks. I consider this what I term "excused terrorism" because it apparently is acceptable to the Israelis and US government among others. When a Jewish civilian or civilians die by anything that may be attributable to Palestinians whether it be suicide bomb or gunfire, then this is "inexcusable terrorism" as perceived by Israel, the US, and others. Until all sides figure out that all terrorism is inexcusable and take actions to prevent it on both sides, then this hell on Earth they call the ME will go on...and on...and on...forever. That is all. Surf
Those topics came directly from the title of each article. I am still interested in the ME, and I will continue to post in the threads discussing it. Anyway, I probably wouldn't have made that comment if Israel was the killer, so I shouldn't have made it when hamas is the killer. I am sorry that I made that comment. (after seeing how it would label me as antisemetic). I don't hate all jews, face it. Sure I hate some people who claim to be jewish but not jews. I just wish I didn't have to see 5 israelis die, 1 israeli dies, 3 israelis die. They shouldn't die, even if they want to drive the Palestians out. And the same goes for palestians who are killed because the israeli govt hates them and viceversa.

Sure I hate some people who claim to be jewish but not jews. I understand your distinction. I'm glad that you don't want to 'devolve' to losing interest in the loss of life. When both sides value the lives of the other side as much as their own, we may be on the way to peace.
