Wouldn't, or didn't? I don't remember if the Magic players sought him out immediately after the game ended. They went into celebration mode, and he went into 'quietly leave the court disappointed' mode. It wasn't worth all the hoopla it generated.

Those questioning whether the shoulder check was intentional or non intentional can have their whims put at rest.

Looking at the video, you will notice that right before contact Lebron moves his right shoulder forward. This is done to initiate the contact, switch the momentum to the right side of his body.

I mean think about it yourself. You can walk normally and legitimately bump into somebody, but your shoulders will stay on the same axis, parallel to each other. The intent is obvious when Lebron "puts his good shoulder first" right before hitting him to send a message.

Spoelstra is a good coach. The only reason Riley might help more is because of his "presence". Players would just respect him more, and they'll play harder as a result.

Players need to be held accountable. I really hope Riley stays out of it and gives Spoelstra the entire season at least. If LeBron, Wade, and Bosh are as good as they think they are, they don't need Riley to turn them into a championship team.

What was Spo doing walking on the floor anyways? Shouldn't he be worried about drawing up a play on the sidelines and directing his players?

Its customary on many teams for the coaches to huddle on the court to talk for a bit while the players walk to the bench during a timeout.

Nah, in this situation Spo is just pissed off because he had to call the second timeout in like less than 2 minutes. After the first timeout, Heat was still playing like crap, and Mavs went on another run.

I'm not talking about "hoopla". I'm highlighting base/core personal values which get highlighted by behavioral actions.

Wouldnt or couldnt is not relevant. I personally do not recall any other NBA player not making any attempt. Immediately after the buzzer or publically in the media at a minimum.

lamar odom and most of the lakers (except or a few players) went straight to the locker room right after their recent jazz loss. they did not bother to acknowledge any of the jazz for their nice comeback.

Because the parallels in their behaviour and quitness are impossible for intelligent people like myself to ignore.

    Sorry you don't get it.

You're comparing a regular season game to a conference finals. After a playoff, it's customary to congratulate the winner.

I agree with your first thought, but unless the Heat don't care at all about this season, they have to consider removing Spoelstra if things don't turn around soon. He also must be held accountable. If Riles comes down the stairs, the longer he waits the longer it will take to whip the players into form.

spo is a good coach, but it doesn't appear that he's ready for this type of magnitude. he called 3 TOs in that quarter in a span of what? a few minutes. great coaches don't panic like that.

and it appears he doesn't motivate the players to get that extra "oomph" on their play. sure you can say players should do that themselves, but that's why great coaches are great coaches. they are great motivators.

look at phil jackson; he's the master of motivation although he's not a great X-O guy.

What makes you say PJ isn't a great "X-O" coach? This should be good.

it's been stated many times throughout the years that tex winters really draws up most of the plays and created the triangle offense. and what is there to draw if you run the triangle?

you can see rambis bringing the triangle to minnesota and how it's helping them. the system is already implemented by winters.

the reason phil is a great coach is b/c he knows how to motivate players (all the tricks he can pull up).
