First off, no way the Spurs should get that much for Parker. Second, why does portland want parker when they have andre miller?

Well Miller was considered a bust this year for the Blazers. I don't think he meshed as well with this team as they had hoped so I can totally see them wanting Parker but if they are in the hunt for Paul what's the point? If true, the Parker deal will be there if they want it later on. The Spurs would jump on a chance to get younger with Batum/Bayless/Fernandez - that would be a heist for them.

..but it's a moot point because I don't think the Blazers can take back that much salary since they are over the salary cap.

morey'd is a verb when you make a bad trade out of desperation to a smarter GM.

Great trade for Portland. Deng has a sick midrange game to bridge Roy and Aldridge, but Rockets can still take'em with a healthy Yao.

I'd be more scared of these Blazers if Aldridge/Oden/Camby had a dominating post game. Blazers are trying to cash in on their depth, but not getting as much as I thought they could.

The problem with parker is his offensive flaw is identical to Miller's. The Blazers didn't like the fact Miller couldn't space the floor for Roy, and Parker has the same lack of range.

When Rockets fans think of Batum they only know the "rookie" who disappeared in the playoffs. Firstly he was a rookie. Secondly it speaks for itself when a coach like Sarge would trust him with those minutes.

Chicago and San Antonio are taking back less salary than they are sending out, but Portland is taking back quite a bit more in salary (roughly 9 million extra). How are the numbers supposed to work on that trade?

We have seen Chicago media put out trade rumors in the distant past and they were very sketchy then.

This also looks sketchy since neither the Chicago media person or you bothered to take two minutes and crank the numbers.

I looked at the Twitter page that you linked to and found this:

Where is the part specifying the detailed trade that you posted?

POR gets:
Tony Parker
Luol Deng

Parker
Roy
Deng
Aldridge
Camby/Oden?

Umm that would actually be a pretty damn good team.

Did Tony Parker and Eva want the bright lights of NYC/Madison Square Garden? I remember that rumor. Don't think they'd like Portland, but it's a good trade for San Antonio and Portland. Not sure about Chicago.

But you also had Deng going to Portland in your earlier post and now you are changing it with Deng going to San Antonio.

I found the speculation on a Spurs BBS.

This isn't a BBS filled with fans of the Spurs. Here, we try to take ownership for what we post. Admit your mistake and get it over with.
