They already have Jack and Calderon, though. I don't see a trade happening, unless they exchange PGs.

You're right, i got mixed up...this was for the wade/bosh combo, not the wade-lebron...so it's not going to help houston....but the article says the center wouldbe used to clear cap space...which means, a buyout for Prz? Now that, could help houston though

With Batum, Rudy (if he's still there), Patty Mills and Dante Cunningham coming off the bench.

That would work. 55-57 wins if they stayed relatively healthy. After last season, that almost seems impossible.

If they can sign Wade for the max, they might be able to convince Boozer to sign for slightly less than the max player. They would be a definite contender in the East for the Finals.

    Rose
    Wade
    scrub
    Boozer
    Noah

good luck with that, he's a money-w**** like the others...but what player isnt nowadays....they'd still have an issue int he backcourt though. both guys are too similar and neither can or will shoot 3s. A 3 point shooting team would kill them by getting more points per possession.

The Blazers don't need Pryzbilla anymore, they now have Camby.

I am sure Wade's PPS rating is at an elite level due to the number of free throws that he gets.

Hell no blazers don't do that.

We didn't trade Batum for the 4th pick for a reason.

He is the starter NO MATTER WHAT.

With that being said, we don't need a backup being paid 11mill a year for a solid young guy in Bayless(who is our future at PG).

    I'm a Blazer fan btw

Can't comprehend why Blazers fans value this kid so much. At all. He's your typical decent wing, and from my experience with the Blazers, I don't think he's better then Trevor, for starters. Yet I've seen Portland fans who think he's worth more then the 4th pick and even some whom thought he's better then Chris Paul. This is madness.

That's just one guy though...and although he's never had pure shooters next to him he's had decent ones and that's not rose...you sag off of both and that alone will make it difficult to get inside for an and1. They'll shoot long j's not even 3s, which are worse. Plus he had shaq as well early on who you can't leave under the rim...bosh doesnt deserve quit that much attention and Noah deserves even less than him.

Uh HELLO, we didn't offer for the 4th pick, we GOT offered.

We're not the only team in the league that is biased towards Batum from what it seems.

Not to mention that NOH was close to pulling the trigger on a Batum/Bayless for Paul trade.

He's not a typical 3...he's like 6'9 with the wingspan of a PF and close to some centers, who can handle the ball decently. That allows him to spot up, pull up, drive, rebound, block shots, get steals and defend in general....that's not typical at all...maybe not a 4 pick, but the kid is full of potential and not bad already. Plus he's barely what, 21?

Chicago trying to move Deng for Pryzbilla and Bayless, then move Bayless for a TPE to create enough space for 2 max contracts? If I can recall correctly, they were about 2 million away from the 2 maxes.

    It's not gonna happen.

Batum is the starter at PDX.

He was supposed to stay in Europe for a couple years, but started all 82 games for us his rookie year instead. His second season, he improved his offensive game tremendously. Averaging 10ppg. Although known for being a great defender, his offense is coming along amazing for a 22 year old.
    He shot 52% from the field, 41% from 3's, and 85% FT's.
.8spg and .7bpg in 24 minutes per game.

    Dude is a stud.

Wait a minute - who is calling the shots in Portland right now? They let Pritchard go on draft day and had fired several of his top men before that. Is Paul Allen making this move himself? Normally I would be scared about Portland making a deal like this but I'm just not sure what they are doing now.

Certainly Batum is more than sufficient at the 3 at the very least and a budding star with room to grow at best. Deng is a known commodity at this point. Why not keep Batum at a much cheaper contract? He's a stronger defender already so I just see a lot of waste having Batum split minutes with Deng and Roy. Either Portland is making a mistake(and I think they are), or they think they can get Chris Paul if they give up Batum. Still, I would think Bayless would have to be a part of a package that sends Paul to Portland.

...as for the Bulls, I guess Pryzbilla becomes the replacement for Miller and they might end up with a little more change in their pockets after the deal so that's good for them trying to land a 2nd big FA. In general I'm against the we have to have 2 marquee FA strategy. I don't see why the Bulls don't try harder to get Al Jefferson. Deng would actually be a decent piece for Minnesota and they have already proven they have no desire to take Jefferson into next season. Big Al would Chicago that low post presence they have been looking for forever, Noah would be the defensive foil to Jefferson - he does all the things well that Jefferson doesn't. Derrick Rose is the point and they bring in either Lebron or Wade. Then they just pick up a jump shooter at the 2/3 and they are set(JJ Reddick anyone?).

Rockets could give the Bulls the trade exception from the Landry/Martin trade. :) If Ariza or Battier is gone in a trade to Toronto, we might as well pick up another SF for depth.

Rumored deal that has been proposed is deng to por for Bayless and pryz expiring deal.

Following the Deng stuff closely. Spurs are getting involved.

    CHI gets:
    Joel Przybilla
    (and desired cap space)

    POR gets:
    Tony Parker
    Luol Deng

    SA:
    Rudy Fernandez
    Nicolas Batum
    Jerayd Bayless
