I don't think it's a sure thing you can flip Varajao for something with value with ease. If it's that easy, Cleveland should do it for Orlando.
Not from the Rocket's front office. They usually keep things tight lipped. I'm saying I think Dwight's agent had alot to do with the 3 team leaks more than Orlando did, and Orlando wants a deal done so they'll keep Dwight, his agent out of the loop. It's just too quiet right now for nothing to be done or going on.
Plus with Dwight driving his value into the ground before the Olympics, I think Orlando wants to keep it as quiet as possible, and any leaks would come from Dwight's camp.
That comes off as being very paranoid. It might be true... I think Orlando is trying to get another team to blink and raise their offer.
one of them is a essentially a bad contract, unless sent to a team already contending. thing is, what contender can afford a $20M softee PF?
Pip, do you feel Gasol will thrive under Nash's PG leadership? I personally do, just wanted your perspective.
You get Harrington too but I agree, I wouldn't trade Gasol and Bynum for Howard and Harrington. I think adding Nash makes the Lakers strong contenders for the next couple of years if everyone can stay healthy. But this would just be an stupid, stupid trade for Orlando to make. Hennigan isn't that stupid.
frankly i haven't given it any thought, b/c i don't really care about the fakers or their roster. on a basic level though, one would expect nash and gasol to be arch-enemies. the former a tiger, while the latter a monkey..
Gasol has a great bball IQ as does Nash. Also, with Kobes recent comments, I dont see LA moving Gasol. Rudolph just reported the deal looks likely.
I believe it's because this is the consolidated portion of the Garm where we know cyberx will check and respond... as well as spill some beans on.
