He is famous and big. He knows all the right people and can smooth over ANYONE who wants to sign with them. He is big time. But I think things slowed down recently with him becoming an agent on his own.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--c...-bynum-in-potential-dwight-howard-trade-.html AWoj saying that LA won't let CLE talk to Bynum until the structure of a deal in place.
Cyberx, Question on something else regarding Bynum. Lots of scary stuff floating around out there recently about Bynum's knees, and him having to go to germany to get the same treatment Kobe got, etc etc, and a lot of dire predictions, esentially all about Bynum's knees and lots of doom and gloom and 'Do not want!' kinds of reactions. My instinct is to take all of that with a grain of salt, and to assume that, while his knees may be of some concern, they do not quite warrant the dire predictions and scary analysis we have been seeing. The question I have is, is the genuine health reality of these guys something that gets out there and around in the agent circles? And if so, do you have any input on Bynum's knees? And if not, what would YOU do to try to find out the most true and real info on his knees, and avoid all the hyperbole and sensationalism? I want to be able to like a move that lands us Bynum, but I want to be able to not feel constantly worried about his health too. Thanks man, this has been one of my favorite threads in a long long time.
Since this briefly just discussed in this thread and I didn't want to start a whole new one, I'll go ahead ask my question now: What happened with DaDakota and why did he get banned? Is this one of those taboo subjects I'm not allowed to ask or talk about? I see a bunch of references to this but never any details. I've been away from the board from the end this last season until a few weeks ago and was just stunned to learn he had been banned. I've been a regular visitor/reader of this board for over 10 years now (although I rarely post). DaDakota was one of the few posters over the years that really stuck out for me. He took ridiculous positions at times (I'm sure just to be controversial and at times a little Inflammatory) but I never questioned his fandom of the Rockets. I never remember him really crossing the line TOO badly. What did he do that finally got him banned?
His knees are fine. His injuries I believe were FREAK injuries. People falling on them etc. He now has been told to wear both braces to be safe. This protects him but I feel limits him a little. He went to Germany to strengthen them. He has knee issues also by how his body is. I remember this was a concern during the draft. But Howard just had a major back surgery and no one cares? How funny things are. Agents have vandettas as well. Gasols agent tried to ruin the three way trade in many ways. Trust me
My understanding is that it had to do with having an alt troll account ('Margrave' I believe), cluttering the board with troll posts, and then accidentally signing one of his alt posts with his regular 'DD' signature. Big no-no. At least that is the explanation I saw, but I cannot vouch for its complete accuracy.
Can you elaborate on this in any way? Was it a vendetta against Houston? Or against LA? Or any one individual specifically? I understand if it not something you can share, but it definitely sounds interesting.. And as for his knees, when you say 'his knees are fine', how secure are you in that statement? I mean, is this some info that would not otherwise be available to us lowly peons? Lastly, you mention Howard's back, and I get that back injuries can be serious and lingering (just ask TMac).. is there some deeper and genuine reason for concern there as well? Or is the health of both players ultimately a non-issue, do you think?
So basically you are saying that what this doctor said on 610 is just BS about Bynum Knee's ? http://houston.cbslocal.com/2012/07/...-andrew-bynum/
appreciate you, man. definitely one of, if not the best, threads i can remember from all my time on the bbs
I was wondering what happened to DaDakota; has he been banned? How long? Too bad, he is a very entertaining poster.
His knees did hold up in a compressed season with him also averaging the most playing time in his career.
Yeah, I know, I read that as well, and this is why I am hoping to find some way to cut through the clutter and BS and maybe find out the for-realz truth from a genuine person who could posisbly know more than we mere mortals
