http://www.chicagotribune.com/sport...t-0807-bulls-chicago--20100806,0,782808.story Fernandez, McGrady still left without homes.
if i was the bulls i would have gone after fernandez. basically its fernandez > mcgaydy > bogans, but thats just me.
Exactly what I was thinking. Bogans wasn't even a fraction of what MerGady was. Crazy (yet satisfying) that no one is willing to take MerGady. I'd take him for the minimum. Minimum wage.
Well, Houston could send Jeffries to NY. NY sends Azubuike, Chandler to Houston; Douglas to Portland. Portland sends Fernandez to Houston.
They obviously would of picked him up over Bogans based on pure skills but I'm guessing Fernandez was too expensive for them. Probably T-Mac too for that matter considering they signed Bogans for chump change. I don't see T-Mac taking that contract.
shooter my ass, they wanted defense and intangibles all along...that's why they rejected tmac....it's highly unlikely Bogans improved his shooting at 30 yrs of age, that's just an excuse.
They got defense and intangibles via free agency in a two-year deal that's only worth roughly $2.5 million with only the first season guaranteed? Wow, unbelievable!
I can't find it now but I read earlier today this does not hinder the Bulls in getting Rudy Fernandez in any way. Bogans is an end-of-the-bench guy, not an important rotation player.
I want the Bulls to make the NBA Finals, but I'm not sure Rudy is a good fit for Thibadeau's intense style.
So Houston gives up Jeffries for Azubuike, Chandler, and Fernandez. New York gives up their promising SG, starting SG, and backup sharpshooting SG for a third string PF. I'm seeing how you could have thought this trade was logical.
haha i was thinking the same thing. do you think he'd play if we didn't pay him at all, but let him sleep in the locker room?
