    The Bulls are 2-18!!!!!!!!????? DAYYYYUM!!!!
The Hawks and Wizards are twice as good as the Bulls. At least they are 4-16 [IMG] The Rockets are merely 11-9. But I bet the Bulls dont win 11 games in the entire season [IMG]
Hell the CLIPPERS are three times as good as the Bulls! THE CLIPPERS ARE 6-16!!!!

    I just have one question:

WHY IS THIS "TOPIC" (if you want to call it that) IS ON THIS BOARD?

Jerry Krause is apparently courting Michael Finley, and is dead set on signing him.

I will bet the ranch that Finley stays in Dallas. Mercer is their SG now, and probably will be for a while!

daily nba I wasn't even talking about you. From my encounters with Bulls fans, they come off as devoted without any real knowledge of the game. I was making a generalization about Bulls fans. I know there are smart Bulls fans out there. And per 48 minute stats are the most misleading stats in the league. If a guy averages 5 pts and 2 boards in 12 minutes of play is that to say he will get 20 and 8 if he played the whole game?? nope. I will have fun watching the bulls break the all time record for losses in a season this year [IMG]

No one knows what Krause is dead set on doing--HOWEVER the media is deadset on Krause going after Finley so they can demonize him some more when he doesn't sign with the Bulls.

Big difference. Frankly, I don't understand the media---way unfair. Krause was the one who provided Jordan with all the pieces he needed to win his rings (pippen, grant, rodman, cartwright, brian williams, paxson, kerr, longley) and he has made good picks in each of the last two drafts. Rebuilding takes time...the media wants everything now. If we were 19 and two they'd cry about the two losses...

Hmm you don't say....must be a Bull's thing...seems it's taken about a year for Rockets to be realisticly back in a playoff chase for the #8 spot. Got Steve Francis and an above .500 team, wow it's fun being a Houston Rocket's fan [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    hehe couldn't resist!

Ermmm.... Elton Brand was a pretty good pick, here's a guy who's looking good to be a career 20/10 guy, but you cannot say that the 2000 NBA draft was a pleasure for Bulls fans to watch?

Sure the pick of Chris Mihm seemed pretty sound at the time, but then he's traded for a guy who looks good to bounce out of the NBA in a few more seasons. And picking Fizer to ruin the pending trade between the Clippers and the Magic? Seems a little futile!
And signing Mercer for 7million dollars a season in a desperate bid to chalk up some wins so the future FA's might consider the Bulls? Jerry, Mercer was going to sign for the 2.25 mill exception until the Bulls threw the bank at him!
And Brad Miller - why didn't they just stick with the draft pick of Chris Mihm? Mihm is probably a better player!

I think the Bulls might well become the template for the way NOT to rebuild, you can't just chuck everything and expect to be able to compete with a bunch of journeymen and rookies!
Unfortunately I see it taking quite a few years for the Bulls to be able to turn it all around - but at least you fans don't give up easy!!!

Ok clutch going to try the table again. I'll forbid myself if it doesn't work lol.

Do what you want with these stats, but I say Steve is the better player. Yes comparing apples to oranges, yet never stopped us before(In the past, glory years of NBA?).

Mercer is on 4 years $27 million - ok that's a touch below 7 million a year [IMG] - actually just looking around it seems that realgm has him listed at about 25.5 million over 4 years - but all the same, a hefty paycheck!

Just read an article in the Chicago papers about Krause saying that the Bulls are in a pretty good position because they're 3rd best in terms of cap space for next year, and there's going to be guys going around like Webber and Finley. I can't believe that the guy is so deluded that he thinks that either of those guys would even consider Chicago! Where are these vets coming from???

I say the Bulls better hope for the number 1 pick in the draft (looks likely [IMG]: ) and grab themselves the biggest center they can see and then hope against hope that they can sign a decent PG with those many millions of dollars!! Just all seems like a lot of "ifs" and "buts" and a bit of denial in the Bulls front office is involved in the rebuilding process!!

Havn't seen the article you're talking about---tell me what paper it was in...I'd like to read it.

    Mercer tonight:

    27 points
    6 assists
    7 steals against Paul Pierce

My bad on the salary---but if he keeps up this production I'd say he was worth it---wouldn't you?????

Crawford will have a good long career in the NBA. He's been shaking the rust off and adjusting to the NBA game---but the last two games he played in produced negligable points, but 13 assists and 2 TO's. Once he gets the rest of it going he's going to complement Elton big time.

Fizer is a mystery to me. I know he can play the game...but he's struggling right now. Who should the Bulls have taken at 4????????? They took the best player available at the position...just like the Clippers did. Want him? He's a baller.

Mercer is making 5 mil a year and after a slow start is averaging about 24 points a game on 45% shooting the last several game.

The acquisitions are starting to pan out...it's just getting some vets and getting everyone on the same page
