I was just checking out the [IMG].

I'm new to these smilies. Like I said somewhere else, I always thought of them as a chick thing. [IMG]

Why are you being a hypocrite? You say you don't want people to tell you that you are wrong, but you have no problem telling DOD to shut up?

Telling someone to shut up on a BBS has to be the most ignorant thing you can do--it defeats the purpose of having the BBS altogether. Just because someone disagrees with you, it doesn't mean it's a personal attack. You get personal attacks when you just try to flame everybody's opinion.

By the way, how's Jerome's law practice going?

"We love this pick and it's exactly who we wanted to add at this spot. Dickerson combined with Rodrick Rhodes provides some great athleticism for the Rockets. Hopefully this guy can really blossom in Houston. "

Umm... Clutch is exactly right. Rhodes was always a phenomenal athlete and good defender... that's what got him drafted actually. He just couldn't shoot or handle the ball that well, and when you lack some of the basic fundamentals it can come back to haunt you. It did for Rhodes.

First, where are these quotes? Second, you are acting as though I'm doubting Rudy said these quotes about Cuttino. I'm not doubting them at all. I was just asking for someone to find some because I was just curious what he said. So before you start assuming things next time, read over the post and understand what I'm saying.

I agree with DrewP. Roderick Rhodes was an above average to good athlete. But quite far from a phenomenal one. His lateral quickness was probably his greatest attribute lending to his ability to be a good defender. But he wasn't exactly fast from end to end. He's not the quickest. And he sure wasn't explosive. Rhodes always seemed to be at a nice cruise control pace. But nothing in his game jumped out and screamed PHENOMENAL athlete.

i take everything as a simple disagreement, except those with stuff like "You, in other words, are basically wrong." at the end. I just call that plain b****y. No need for that, just say your thought, and leave that out.

Anyways, I don't remember Rudy and CD saying that stuff about drafting Mobley. Can you look through the archives and maybe dig up some quotes?

"You have to judge the choices by comparison to what was available, what we needed, and what we took."
Exactly. I was so pissed last year on the criteria they based their trade for collier on. He kept saying how collier "fit in the system." Screw that junk. I think we should have stuck with Pryz. He was available, we needed a center, and traded him for collier.

Guys, I'm just curious. Are there rules about when you can trade draft picks. Can you not trade picks until draft day? I never figured this out. The only significant trades I ever see are when players already drafted are traded(ala Pryzzbilla for Collier last year). So if the Rockets were actually able to pull this trade off, when exactly would this deal go down? Do we have to draft a player then trade? Swap before draft? I just want to know when is the soonest I can start checking this site every 30 minutes to see if this deal has gone down yet. [IMG]

Clutch just gave you the quotes, from the Clutchcity.net draft recap. Is Clutch making up quotes now or something? And what exactly has Pryz proven? Nothing. Get back to me when he does. And yes, I know Collier hasn't proven much either, although his first month was more promising than Pryz's whole season. However, for the Rockets to have been "stupid" for picking Collier and a pick this year over someone last year, you need to actually have some game evidence to back up your claim. Potential doesn't count when we're talking in the present tense. Until you have game evidence to show that Pryz is a better NBA player than Collier, drop that argument.

Way to pick up your man, Cat!! I agree 100%. Rhodes did have great athleticism and was a pretty good defender...just ask MJ [IMG] Unfortunately he couldn't hit the broad side of the Compaq Center.

Well, in response to Goldbergs original post, that would be an incredible development, getting rid of Cato, his salary, the #4 pick, and still have 2 more picks. Imagine:

    4/Curry or Griffin
    18/Hunter or Jefferson
    23/Woods or Wallace or Morris

And we lose a player so we can have 3 rookies...

Then sign Marc Jackson, or trade for LaFrentz: then sign MoTay and Moochie

    LaFrentz/Curry/Collier
    Taylor/Thomas/Bullard
    Jefferson/Langhi
    Mobely/Wallace
    Francis/Norris

    or

    Jackson/Collier/Hunter
    Taylor/Thomas/Bullard
    Griffin/Langhi/Williams
    Mobely/Wallace
    Francis/Norris

    or

    LaFrentz/Collier/Hunter
    Taylor/Thomas/Bullard
    Griffin/Langhi/Morris
    Mobely/Colson
    Francis/Norris

    or

    LaFrentz/Collier/Woods
    Taylor/Thomas/Bullard
    Griffin/Langhi/Jefferson
    Mobely/Colson
    Francis/Norris

    I like all those teams...
