Well now the Pelicans have joined the Thibs hunt along with the Nuggets. I hope Thinbs goes to the Magic and Malone goes to the Pelicans. The Timberwolves should look for a coach as well. Please noone hire Skiles. Esp no young rebuilding team.

I don't know what to say really. Forty-eight minutes to the biggest battle of our professional lives all comes down to today. Either we heal as a team or we are going to crumble. Inch by inch play by play till we're finished. We are in hell right now, gentlemen believe me and we can stay here and get the **** kicked out of us or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb out of hell. One inch, at a time.
First, the Bulls will not end up paying Thibs for next season. There is a mutual desire to part ways. Thibs wants greater control of the organization and he is simply not going to get that in Chicago, where Paxson and Foreman have won the power battle. Where ever Thibs ends up, he will have more say over the organization than the GM. He is sick of being undermined in Chicago and being told who to play and for how many minutes. Thibs does make mistakes and always has. He is not the best strategic coach when it comes to timeouts and rotations. He has done some very smart things, like running the offense through Noah with Rose out. He did it in a way that was unique. He deserves credit for that. He is also the single most important defensive innovator in the NBA in the last 20 years. He essentially turned his defenses from reactive, into be the aggressor and forcing the offense to adjust to him. He is a very good coach, probably a top 5 coach and I think that teams would give up a #1 if they had to. I would say the Pelicans are not appealing, but the truth is, he would get the power he craves there, the best young player in basketball and other players he would find attractive.

Noooo...keep Thibs out of the Southwest Division..... our coach keeps plummeting to the abyss of incompetency in this division... Chicago, please keep him!!
What is so great about Thibs? The guy couldn't coach offense with talents of Rose, Jimmy Bulter and Gasol, etc. This years' Bulls are stacked and they still lost to Cavs in 6. Their defense is not that impressive either.
Man, I really hope he doesn't go to the Pels. That would give the Southwest Division arguably 3 of the top 5 coaches in the NBA. Brutal.
He has traditionally had a elite defensive unit in Chicago and as an assistant he revolutionized and formed the modern NBA defense. Were the Bulls really stacked this year? Noah has really bad knees that are not going to get any better. Derrick Rose is complete garbage. Jimmy Butler is a complete player but he isn't a franchise player. Gasol is old as dirt.
I would want him no where near Davis. His style isn't good for the long term health of his players. Rose, Noah, Gasol, etc. It seems like everyone gets hurt with him.
If Thibodeau is such a good head coach, why is Chicago so eager to dump him? I would like to have him as a defensive coach but keep McHale as the head coach. Players like and respect McHale and therefore will really play for him.
Props to Chicago for saving Jimmy Butler's career. His 120% practices, 40+ mpg games, etc. etc. are out of control. How many star players careers is Thibs going to be allowed to destroy before the myth of his greatness dies. McGrady Yao Rose Noah We are up to four.
