I would do a Deng/Korver for Battier/Lee in a heartbeat and I think Chicago would being that they would view the defensive upgrade more important than the offense they are loosing. Deng is a slight drop off from Battier defensively but is a better rebounder and all around better offensive player. Plus he is only 24 while Battier is on the downside of his career. Korver is a downgrade from Lee defensively but a much, much better shooter in spot duty. With Brooks back... I think that Lee's minutes are going to get cut more anyway. It is enticing thinking about how effective Deng and Korver would be in the midrange game under Houston's system. Just a thought.
Unless they give us Noah, there has to be a third team because they have nothing we would want or need.
I don't think you want to trade our two best defenders for two guys that play zero defense. Korver would have been nice if we had Yao but he would be useless to us since he can't create for himself and we have no post threat or anybody that can draw the double.
That's the point. There isn't anybody else on the Bulls that's worth touching....so basically, no dice on the trade. Nobody actually believes that Rose or Noah are coming here.
Agree, there is a reason why the Bulls can't seem to find takers for Deng, not unless they are willing to take on a bad contract similar to Deng would i consider, Battier and Lee don't qualify.
