from a chicago team that'll be a contender for the next 5 years? I'll pass.. they need a 2 guard....bogans cant score and brewer isnt cutting it.
Horrible trade. A. Taj Gibson would be the 5th PF on this team and would be the only player that is marginably coveted by GM's. B. Lou Deng and his contract. He is an OK SF but hes not the impact player this team needs. He can hit open shots, but isnt an upgrade from Battier on much else. C. Kevin Martin??? Are you mad. If you are giving up this guy for anything less than Blake Griffen or Carmelo Anthony with a contract you are out of your mind. He is the Rockets best and most consistent offensive player and has been consistenly been putting up 25+ a night the past three weeks. He the least known all-star quality player but you are nuts if you give him up for anything less than superstar talent. D. Everyone else. Battier and Budinger could be moved in deals for similar players like Brewer, Deng, and Gibson anyways so why include anyone else?
I don't get why people are so quick on giving up K-Mart for a bag of skittles. He's good for 20+ points a night and more consistent and efficient than Aaron. He's doing exactly what he we got him for besides step up in the 4th. That is why we need to trade for a near all-star caliber sf like Iggy or something.
I think Gibson would be our best PF behind Scola and an instant contributor off the bench. He reminds me of a young Carlos Boozer, though perhaps not as talented. Deng is absolutely an upgrade over Battier. Without question. You're letting his contract influence your opinion of him as a basketball player.
I'd like to get Asik from them, It's his rookie year, international player...he imo has some upside. Struggling his rookie season but what young big center doesn't? Not straight up for Lee though but he would be a great throw in for us.
i just did a trade machine thing and it said we can trade courtney lee and jared jefferies for kyle korver and ronny brewer
Here's one I would think hard about if I were the Bulls, and obviously would do if I were the Rockets: Joakim Noah, Luol Deng for Courtney Lee, Jordan Hill, Shane Battier Noah's obviously the piece here, but they get a nice vet who plays D and may be a better fit on that team in Battier, they get rid of Deng's stupid contract, and they acquire a player they want (Lee) and another who has looked like he has the potential to match Noah's production (Hill) while being healthy when Noah is not.
