You're worried about "firing up" the Clippers?? If Bullard needs to worry about getting the Clippers all riled up we need to start rooting for another team.

This seems to me like it is the only place it kills to have a personality. Maybe you are not a big Bullard fan but come on people this has got to be one of the dumbest posts and what does that say about me since I am adding to it, anyways get over people. Players have been making that joke about the Clippers for years.

I've never been one to pass up a good Bullard bashing -- but I won't go in to his one-dimensional game, the lift on his jump shot, his rebounding, his statuestesque defense or lack of mobility.

Instead, I would mention that I was surprised to see how much this guy makes -- I've been thinking it was like 600k instead of the 2 + million he makes. I've been cutting Bullard some slack thinking he came cheap --- OUCH!!!

    Hey RocketSiv,

I have my opinion of Bullard. You don't like it, don't read it. You can politely "go to hell", however. I don't appreciate your comments at all.

I don't like Bullard. He is a known talker who talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. Luckily, the Rockets won the game last night. Bullard actually had a pretty good game against a really lousy team. But we all know next game he will have his 3 pts and no defense once again. Inconsistency is his trademark.

Bullard belongs in the CBA most nights. End of story. Anyone can shoot the 3.

Oh did I say politely "go to hell", RocketSiv. I don't think I can say that enough.

    Hey surfguy,
you ought to calm down a bit, it's just a game. That being said, "calling Bullard one-dimensional is an insult to stick-men everywhere"

Surfguy: Don't tell people to go to hell. That isn't nice. It's mean.

Mean people don't last long around here.

What do you call your original post then? You called the guy an idiot for saying what he did, sorry you can't take it as well as dish it out.

    Hypocrite.

The funniest part about all this is Bullard went out and got 14 pts,7rebs,5 assts and made a lot of people on this thread look rather dumb. [IMG]

After watching the game last night, I'd say Bullard indeed "walked the walk". If being the second leading scorer against the hapless Clips is no big deal, what about Francis (2-12)? Does that mean he's a lesser player than Bull - I don't think so! But Matt effectively picked up the slack on a night that was pretty pathetic (38% from the field). There's been a number of times this year I'm glad we had Bull when some of the other guys weren't in the game mentally.

Get over it, Surf Guy. Yeh, Bullard makes too much money, but he provides more payback than a lot of guys making a lot more money. Massenburg, where are you?

If the Rockets cut all one dimensional players, we'd be left with Hakeem (when he can play), Cutino, and Kenny T.

First off, I did not call Bull an idiot. I called his statement idiotic. It doesn't mean the person is an idiot. Second, I called him an arrogant ass because he talks more than he performs. He has no ground to stand on most nights. I did not criticize any low-profile Rocket forum members so I don't care to be hurled insults. RocketSiv or whomever can say whatever they want. But when an administrator is telling me I can't hurl insults right back when I was insulted, then there is clearly something wrong with that.

    So, criticize away....Rocket fans.

Not really. I told you that it's not a good idea to tell people to "go to hell".

The only insult I see directed towards you is this one:

Notice he didn't say you were dumb. He said the post was dumb.

I know you can see the distinction here, because of what was included in your last post:

So, you're getting all tensed up in the chestal region over the same kind of behavior you exhibited at the beginning of this post.

Maybe Rocketman95 has you pegged correctly.

Either way, all I asked is that you not tell people to "go to hell". I think that is a reasonable request. If you really find it that troublesome, well, I am sure you can figure out your options.

The difference is I hold a clear distinction between criticizing high profile, highly publicized, media scrutinized, million dollar athletes who never come here vs. criticizing the low profile, never publicized, thousand dollar forum members who always come here.

Either way, your point is taken. I don't get all rawled up over posting on the Internet, however. It's all virtual talk. You can read into it as much as you like but that is not the case. It wasn't a furious "go to hell". It was a polite "go to hell". Everyone has their say and is entitled to their opinion. Noone ever said it had to be nice and, apparently, we like our rough playground around here. Somewhere along the way, I thought Rocket fans were on the same team and were openly entitled to criticize the team and the players they love or love to hate so much. But, now I realize we are all pitted against each other. The chatroom is much more tolerable.

So, meet me in the schoolyard so we can all open up a can of whoop-ass on each other [IMG]!
I still think Bull sucks....even if he had one decent game. And I don't feel dumber for saying so...

I am glad you pointed that out. I hope this serves as an example of the vagaries of the written word. You may have meant it that way, but I couldn't tell, and I doubt most people could either.

    No harm done.

As for the "one big happy family" thing, that would be nice. And I think we'd be a lot closer to it if we were 45-11 and challenging for the title. [IMG] Just gotta be patient I guess.

Umm...did you guys read what the insults this guy hurled at me? Are you condoning his behavior? And blasting mine. Hey, I'll back off...but comments like his are better left unsaid if he feels that way. If he says what he wants, then I should be entitled to say something right back.

I'm calm...I just don't appreciate people who say those types of things. Does anyone see where I'm coming from? Now, I'm the bad guy. Unreal. I never attack people unless they attack first. If I'm booted out of here for that, then that isn't fair. I'm the victim not the instigator. If you don't agree with my opinion of Bullard, fine. But, don't start saying things about personality and dumbness...I'm done...enough said.

I once made 15 in a row from behind the arc. No joke. Of course, I'm too short but I'll give it a shot [IMG].

Heh you guys are taking this a Little 2 seriously don't you think? The Clips are so bad its not even funny. Did you see how Mo was getting booed? Fans who boo there own teams are idiots. So this talk of Bullard is dumb, the guy was joking and the Clips are so worn down that they wouldn't even play hard if you talked about their mothers to the media.

    Scarface,

Do you mean that the Clipper fans showed M Taylor no respect by booing him? If that is so, then remember that M Taylor is the one who started this by pouting because he was not traded by the Clippers. If Taylor wants respect from the fans, he has to meet them in the middle and give them respect in return.

Okay, so the post is dumb(not me...the post). Apparently, people like dumb posts around here because my post is on fire. I took the opportunity to rag on Bull, he had his best game that I can remember afterwards, and then apparently he overexerted himself and hurt his back. I didn't want the guy to get hurt for crying out loud [IMG]. And I didn't expect all the replies to a dumb post. But, apparently, some of the postees agree with my assessment of Bull on most days. But, who cares anyway?

And now a scene from one of my favorite "dumb" movies that fits the "take it easy attitude; it's just a post" around here:

    Walter: "OVER THE LINE!!!"

Smokey: "Huh? No way! Mark it eight Dude!"

Walter: "Smokey, you were over the line. Mark it zero!"

Smokey: "I was not, Walter...mark it eight Dude!"

Walter: "This is not 'Nam, Smokey. We have rules here."

Smokey: "But I wasn't over the line, Walter. Mark it eight Dude!"

Walter: "Smokey, this is a league game. This determines who enters the next Round Robin. Am I right or am I wrong? Mark it zero!"

Smokey: "But I wasn't over the line. Mark it eight Dude!"

Walter: "Smokey, you are entering a world of pain(as he grabs his gun)! (Points gun at Smokey) DOESN'T ANYBODY PLAY BY THE F#*KING RULES AROUND HERE? MARK IT ZERO!!!!"

Smokey: "Alright, there(as he marks it zero). Are you happy you psychotic b*stard?"

Later in the car as their leaving the league bowling game:

Dude: "Smokey is very fragile. He's emotionally fragile."

Walter: "I did not know that."

Dude: "Would you just take it easy and calm down!"

    Walter: "I'm calm, Dude."

Dude: "Waving the f#*king gun around?"

    Walter: "I'm perfectly calm, Dude."

Dude: "Would you just take it easy?"

    Walter: "Calmer than you are!"
