Paolo is rising to the top of the draft and now Chet is possibly damaged goods? I agree this draft just needs to get over with. It's getting too intense. Thank God just 3 more days.
The closer we get to the draft the moral convinced Oklahoma City Thunder are going to take Paolo Banchero. There is no mock draft last year that has the Thunder taken Josh Giddy. Also I remember hearing Sam Presti says his draft board is always different from consensus. While Poku & Chet are different players. They have similar bodies and with Chet not releasing his medicals and how slow Poku development is. I think Thunder might be scared off Poku long term ability Thunder already have SGA and Giddey as playmakers so you think this is bad fit. But I think Thunder will value Paolo Banchero talent more than fit and I think Thunder would love to see experiment of three good to great playmakers.
You need a top 5 or generational talent to win a championship and Wembanyama is going to be top 3 center once drafted he is that good.
I'm not buying the smokescreen. I think there is some interest in Paolo going 1 or 2, sure, but Jabari is going 1. Orlando already talking about his attitude which means their hearts are set on the kid. OKC might take Paolo but I really think they are set on Chet just as well. Their whole fanbase has been hyping Chet. Presti always takes bigs known for defense too and that's exactly what Chet is. I don't think Presti will take a big whose weakest area of his game is defense. Look at his drafting history with bigs. Understand how badly they wanted Mobley last year. Presti values defensive bigs, that ain't Paolo. So realistically that leaves Paolo going 1 or 3. I think what's happening is that our FO has fallen in love with Paolo and Orlando and OKC know it now and are trying to hustle some assets from us.

Now that I’ve learned to like Banchero, convinced myself he’s the BPA this draft and have been set on him being a Rocket I’m sure he’ll be drafted at #1 or #2. Time to go back to the original mindset that I was good with any of the big 3.
