How does Buffalo Wild Wings translate to BW3's?

There are only 2 Ws in Buffalo Wild Wings.

I guess I'm missing something obvious.

Used to be Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck for the bread they used for their sandwiches.

The third W was weck (which is a type of bun or something). So, uh, yeah, they figured out no one had a clue or cared about that third W so they dropped the full name and went with the BW3 moniker.

Oh, and buffalo wings are a perfectly exceptable meal on the Atkins diet... I'm just sayin'.

I had spicy garlic chicken strips for lunch at the Westchase BW3... I'll be tearing up the handicap stall in no-time.

    Wuss.

The last couple times I've been I've gotten the Blazin' as a dipping sauce. Talk about tearing up the handicap stall...

The first time I went a few weeks ago in Clear Lake I got the hottest ones. It was too much even for me. I could only eat around 7 of them but I was focusing on the margaritas anyway...

Oh believe me, once you get older, just about any spicy food will tear up your colon.

I'll still eat hot stuff, I just know I'm going to regret it later.

And the Carribbean Jerk is a nice flavor there also, if you're in the mood for something different.

Anybody ever tried the 12 blazin' wings challenge?

You have to eat 12 blazin' wings in 10 minutes I think.

Or something like that.. I could be wrong..

Considering barely touching my food to the blazin' causes the top of my brain to burn, um, no.

You get a gift certificate and your picture on some kind of poster if I remember correctly.

    But 12 in 10. Ow.

Exactly. A lot of people don't realize how fatty the sauce is. Go to your local supermarket and see if they have "Hooter's Wing Sauce" and read the nutrition label and serving size. You'll go  .

    Generally, they are bad because:

    Dark meat

    +

    Fried

    +

    Fatty/Sugary sauce

    +

Portion size (large portion size or all-you-can-eat is how people usually eat their buffalo wings).

There are healthier ways to get them though. Some sauces don't contain much/any fat or sugar (but they are usually high in sodium) - good luck finding many restaurants that have healthier sauce though. Also, some places allow you to get the wings "grilled" instead of fried.

I've got a place near me that does grilled, lemon-pepper wings. Deeeeelicious. (Of course, they're still dark meat and you still need to watch your portion size).

Oh yeah, forget to add: all those reasons why they are bad is BEFORE you go and dip them into ranch or bleu cheese dressing - tack on another couple hundred calories! :D

Well, I was able to eat 5 of the Blazing wings before my stomach started getting upset. Those things are brutal and about 5x stronger then Hooter's Bentley's.

The real challenge should be on the next day. If you can take a dump without crying you should win a prize.

    That's what I was thinking.

Never do that challenge on a weekday.. you'll end up calling into work.. for sure..

No doubt, I'd put the Bentley's in between the Hot and Wild at BW3's. I think Wild is just about the right level of heat.
