One person I would love to see play that 3 spot is Andre Igoudala. He might be be a little short, but he's just a really good all-around player.
See folks - ignorance..... Budinger is the 3rd highest 3pt shooter on the team has pretty much identical production to CLee and Parsons.... Yet folks say he bricks.....out of pure ignorance. Carry on ! DD
Parsons gets 80% more rebounds per game in 15% more time, twice as many assists, 5 times as many blocks and 3 times as many steals. In addition, Parsons overall FG percentage is .451 compared to Budinger's .416.
please stop saying he has identical production to CLee and Parsons. Both of those players actually play the other side of the ball. Bud does not. I am not a Bud basher, but the statement above is just not true. If you mean offensive production ...maybe, but not overall production. I'd even question offensive production because i find him to be so inconsistent. With all respect DD!
Chase is the "highest" shooter alright. He plays like if he were high; disinterested on defense, lost on offense and reluctant to do anything but pass the ball to the left hand side of the court.
His offensive production might be the same as Lee and Parsons, but both Lee and Parsons are a ton more active on the defensive side of the ball and that is the edge they bring to the team when comparing them to Bud.
Parsons PER is at 14.72, Lee is almost at 16. Budinger is only 11.48. And PER really only accounts for offense, it pays little to no attention on defense. So just on offense, Parsons and Lee are more effective and efficient than Budinger. If you add in defense it's not even close.
80%? How do you figure 2 rebounds a game more in 20% more playing time is 80%? Bud takes a higher percentage of 3pt shots, making his EFG% about the same. Come on Bobrek, you are better than this... DD
I agree with that, Parsons is much better on D, and Lee is too when guarding SGs... I don't mind Parsons starting, that is cool he deserves it, but Bud should be playing as backup SF...putting CLee or KMart in there at SF is just not a good coaching move they are too small to play other SFs. DD
Budinger just needs a change of scenery. He was decent last year. Had a couple 30+ point games but the guy just doesn't look interested this season so far. Trade him to Minny or somewhere with a Motion offense and he can still be a decent sixth or seventh man. Parsons and Lee have both played way better than him this year. Not even close.
