[/QUOTE] That was a true statement though Reek, players do get better, not all but some do, and when it was written it was fact. Still is..... DD
Christ, DaDakota, go take a breather outside. Walk around and come back into another thread. This is painful to watch.
LOL - what did you contribute to the thread other than your grandma tendencies to b**** about other people. All I said was the Chase should be the backup SF, nothing more..... DD
I compared rookie stats to show that to judge a player based upon his rookie stats was stupid, not to say he would become a superstar. I know it is too much to ask for folks to understand or consider the context..... DD
I'm pretty sure the context of it was Bud's potential is limited since he is picked low 2nd rounder for a reason, and you retorted by using Kobe as an example that you can't determine the limit of a players' potential by their rookie season alone. It was a bad example since Kobe was about 17 and barely 18 when he came in the league so it was expected of him to take longer to adjust. Same for Jermaine O'Neal, McGrady and few other high school to NBA players who took longer to adjust than your average college player. But there was no doubt that they are leaking with potential the moment they came in the league.
If he's sucking tomorrow McHale may need to consider this^ None the less he had a great game hope he keeps the fire going. Screw hate I just want to win and get the best out of our team.
So it takes McHale benching Bud for a couple of games before he decides to play with focus and fire against the worse team in the league. Good performance from him in this game but unless he brings consistency to his performance this is nothing special.
Never said he wasn't capable of this. Obviously his 30 point game last year proved that. The problem is can he do it for a whole season without have lots of games where he doesn't do anything at all. As the basketball great, Wesley Snipes, said 'The sun even shines on a dogs ass some days…'
Here is what I think, I don't believe Bud necessarily found his rythmn with the team early, and with them trying to force feed Kmart to get him going, neither did Scola so much. Don't you guys find it strange that both Luis and CBud played a lot better when they got shots because KMart was not the guy taking most of them? And for those that are saying it was the lowly Wizards, go look up Lowry, CLee, and Parson's stats against the lowly Wizards. Bud can play, always could - just got lost in the shuffle some. IMO, with Kmart out, the Rox could use Bud starting more than Clee, they need Bud's shooting......but I doubt that will happen. Good to see CBud showing the doubters that he can still play the game at a nice level. DD
Young players are inconsistent, it happens. Lower your expectations some and appreciate what he can do and do well. He and Parsons are actually a nice complimentary pair and can play well together too. DD
