Aaron Brooks didn't make the Rookie team, but Landry and Scola did. Aaron Brooks turned out better than Scola. Some players don't come out on fire. It can take a season to adjust.
All three of those players have played relatively big roles for their teams. I think they deserve it as much as Budinger does. But I'm also a little disappointed Chase didn't make it. No matter. Just remember Carl Landry wasn't selected either.
I like Chase and love what he has done for this team and how he has developed over the season, but he's not one of the top 9 rookies in the league based on stats. If it were a 12-deep roster, then I'd cry foul. This is one less reason I'll watch the rookie challenge game...
I can't really argue with the list. Maybe you take off Jerebko, but although his numbers arent impressive, he has been a starter as a rookie which that alone makes him hard to argue against. Taj Gibson and Blair definitely deserve their spots. Ty Lawson should be much more upset that Bud
Argh.. you are right. I am thinking of the All-rookie 2nd team instead of the Rookie Challenge. Well, there you go. Landry and Brooks failed to make the Rookie Challenge and they turned out better than people thought.
He's trying to imitate the Spurs by saying "I can draft a euro and turn him into Tony Parker and Ginobili, too"
In that year, both Yao and Tmac were playing. Landry and AB didn't get many playing time. This year is supposed to a development year. The rockets should have given CBud and Taylor more playing time. Otherwise, why did they buy those picks?
This is the season to develop Brooks, Lowry, Ariza and Landry. They're the young players the team is looking to invest in. For the rookies, it's more about getting acclimated to the NBA more than anything else. Budinger is being brought along faster than any other Rocket rookie has been under Adelman. Chuck Hayes is also only 26 but the dude has played like a veteran since his sophomore season.
It is his interest. Rockets have many second round draft playing in euro at this years... He always try to do many this type low risk investment and bet some will have return...
Adelman dictates the playing time. He's trying to win instead of developing, which is against what you want abc2007. Adelman is just silly like that.
