He will get along with Les and Daryl, then. Or do whores tend to dislike each other?

If there's no way we can snag Brad Stevens... I guess I could get used to hearing "Hey Bud, let's party" twice as often.

I would rather have this guy then Malone. The people that leave San Antonio seem to have a lot of success.

You know that'd be pretty good actually. I think that's the primary criteria Les is using in his search :)

This guy is my top pick now.

It would be kind of sweet to swipe another gem from the Spurs.

Why are we looking at Mike Brown. Sam Mitchell is a better head coach than Brown. He did much more with less.

    I agree.

It doesn't make sense for the Rockets to bring in a veteran coach who's going to want a lot of control after just getting rid of a veteran coach who wanted a lot of control. If it's not a young, relatively new coach I really won't understand what the hell they are doing.

Of the assistants mentioned so far Budenholzer seems to be the most "decorated."

Please say no to Mike Brown. He is a dud. Say no to Larry Brown. He is washed up and his heart wasnt in it already a few times. Then from there go out and make the decision. Please no retreads unless they include Phil Jackson, Stan Van Gundy, or Jeff Van Gundy.

I would love to get this guy. He's basically been an apprentice to Pops since Pops hired him to be a video guy for the Spurs back in '94. He's learned the game from a great coach for a number of years and has also learned all the hard work it takes to develop a game plan. Would be a GREAT hire.

JVG or SVG is good with me.

But i'd be willing to roll the dice on Pop's assistant as well.

Budenholzer really intrigues me. Obviously the Spurs success over the past decade speaks highly of him. The Spurs have always been a top notch defensive team, and I love how they revamped their offense this season. He really could be the guy who could make us a better defensive squad (assuming Morey gets us some size), keep the offense humming, and embrace the stats based approach Morey utilizes. That last one to me is big. I want to see a smart coach use smart scouting to his advantage.

My first reaction to Mike Brown is hell no, but I keep hearing people around the league praising him. That offense in Cleveland was fugly, but maybe that was more a problem of the ego of LeBron than the coaching ineptitude of Brown. I can't say I'd be excited to see him as our coach, but I don't think this is the equivalent of getting Vinny Del Negro.

im also thinking this will be the guy....rockets like the way the spurs do things...he's got all kinds of experience and is the son of a long time coach...he's also seen as being very good in making late game adjustments...probably watches a ton of video and recognizes situations others wouldnt.

To be honest, I know nothing about this guy but he seems like the front runner.

Nor do I, but the fact that he's a long time assistant at the Spurs and from what I'm reading here, he might really be a solid choice. I'm interested.
