Chase looks lost out there, tenative and playing scared.

They need to sit him for some time to get him right....

At this point Bud brings down the value of any package.

Bud in a package? Is this like Dick in a Box?

I'm not sure he can pull it off like JT.

No scorer has set the bar as low as Trevor Ariza did. To not even match THAT is terrible.

I still think Bud can be part of a deal to bring back quality but he REALLY needs to work on his shot or start driving the lane.

Do you still have the same long-term outlook for him as you did a few months ago? Has he hurt his potential?

I think last year they ran plays for him, and he was confident, this year he has lost his confidence, whether it is his ankles or whatever, it is just gone.

He should be a Kyle Korver type at least, and right now, he just isn't.

Sometimes you need some tough love, I think he needs a good dose of pine...

    JR Smith:
    08-09 (27mpg): 44%FG 40%3pt
    09-10 (27mpg): 41%FG 34%3pt

If your stuck on the 08-09 season then we can pick up AI too because he was averaging 18ppg on 42%FG.

JR is actually first in 3PTM for Denver, right in front of Michael Adams and Dale Ellis, who each spent only 3-4 years on the Nuggets. Smith is actually ranked 8th in 3PT% and second in 3PT attempts.

Comparing all-time numbers to the Nuggets is not saying much... How many championships do they have? Zero.

JR is not as good as you are making him out to be. I would rather have Wafer back if all you want is a streaky shooter. Which reminds me, Adelman and JR would get along greeeeeeat.

I have noticed a lot of overrating for streaky shooters in the garm. Von Wafer, JR Smith, Chase and so on. What is this fascination with streaky shooting.

I would be ecstatic if he became a Kyle Korver type at most. That guy barely misses and set the record for highest 3 pt % ever last season.

Sometimes in sports, bad news attracts bad news. Bud's stagnation is just another disappointment in a season full of disappointments.

Martin, Taylor, and Jeffries for Anthony if he's willing to sign an extension.

    Yao / Miller / Hayes
    Scola / Hill
    Melo / Battier
    Lee / Budinger
    Brooks / Lowry / Smith

You don't sell low. Hang on to Budinger this season. If the Rockets aren't going to play Martin, then trade him.

Von Wafer and JR are superior to Chase, though. At least right now.

Players go through this, but the warning signs were there in the summer league. He seemed a bit tentative out there and all of the criticisms of him at Arizona are starting to make sense. He seemingly so much basketball and athletic talent, but he seems content to be Just Another Guy out there and float around. It's not good enough. He should model himself on Manu Ginobli (easier said than done, I know) and play with reckless abandon out there. It's better to go down fighting instead of being this passive guy who just shows the occasional flash. He should focus on improving his defense and cut and drive to the basket.
