Bud's azz would be as good as gone if it come down to getting JR Smith for him. Talent level is not even close. JR Smith > Bud by miles !!!
Do want. He has the ability to explode for 25+ on any given night... he's an excellent long-range gunner and a strong finisher at the cup. Bud can get off the floor, but J.R. has serious bounce. He's one of the league's best all-around athletes, hands down. If RA can renew his focus on defense, J.R. could be a consistent 6th man. I'd like to watch this unit in the open floor: Ish Smith Courtney Lee J.R. Smith Jordan Hill Brad Miller
He has "exploded" for 25+ points one time this year. He "exploded" for 25+ points 9 times last year. Which would mean he has a 10% chance of going over 25. I don't really think that qualifies for going off on any given night. Not too mention his highest scoring game in the playoff series against the Jazz last year was 20 points. (36% FG in series)
Iwas thinking more like Bud in a package deal for Igudala. I don't know where this JR Smith talk came from. The thought of Rick Adelman teaching someone defense.....hilarious!
What does Bud have over Courtney Lee? Serious question. I can only think of two things- 1) shooting off picks or on the move (which he hasn't been doing this year) and 2) finishing near the basket (though he can't get to the basket consistently). Lee seems to be the better defender, better ball-handler, and better set shooter.
Well, Chase shot 37% from 3 last year, while Lee is a career 38% 3 point shooter. Lee also shot over 40% from 3 as a rookie. So I'm not sure Chase has ever been better. But rookies usually get a lot better in shooting 3s their second year as they get acclimated to the NBA 3 pt line. Bud has been puzzling to say the least. Odds are, though, that he turns it around and finishes around 40% from 3 pt land. That's where I'd put my money anyways...
We should trade him to a volleyball team for cash, then use the cash to buy one of those fancy 3d TVs for the locker room.
My guess is that we will move Brooks, Budinger and one or two of the bigger expiring contracts (Battier/Jeffries), plus some of the picks and perhaps Patterson or Hill for a star if and when the chance presents itself.
He has the ability to explode for 25+, Aggie. Check his '08-'09 (27 MPG) numbers when he racked up 61 double figure games, including a string of 21 straight. He ranks 2nd in Denver all-time for three point field goals made, and 1st for three point %. He can light it up: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/I6SaYDkvlGo?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/I6SaYDkvlGo?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
scientifically, lighter skinned people reflect light (UV Rays) more poorly than darker skinned people. Thats why light skinned people have a higher incidence of skin cancer. so bud can't even beat lee in reflecting sunlight
Doesn't dark color absorb more light than light colors? I think the reason for higher incidence of skin cancer is not that lighter skinned people "reflect light more poorly", but that the skin cannot take as much of it (speaking in layman's terms here).
my guess is that in any scenario we will get below the lux tax threshold before the deadline without a doubt
