Hey moes, it's funny you bring up the Bucks' draft history. I happened to be looking at this page on 82games just yesterday: http://82games.com/bestdraftingteams.htm According to them, over the past 20 years, no team has drafted better. I know you weren't necessarily talking about that timeframe and they also point to the Bucks making good picks in the 2nd round which wasn't your point. I just thought it was interesting and never would have guessed the Bucks to be rated so high. Of course, this is just one formula and far from gospel.
OK... even though he played there for 6 years... Moncrief. Marques Johnson. Neither were complete wastes.
Well, they drafted Dirk Nowitzki .... wups. Before that you'd probably have to go back about 15 years to Glenn Robinson.
out of all the first round picks in their history... that isn't a great track record. But I'd almost bet they are the best team when it comes to 2nd round drafting.
i am one of those guys who would trade landry to villanueva. he's talented but he falls in love with his jump shot. but who wouldnt? rasheed does the same. cv just needs to have a coach and system that caters to his skillset. if he were at houston, he can play at the top of the key and make passes from there. he can strech the defense with his 3pt shooting. not to mention he's tall. a few weeks playing on a team with artest and battier will improve his attitude. if he's only asking for 4-5m, i say sign him up for 3 yrs. or if he wants more, then 6m for 2yrs with a 3rd yr team option. if houston manages to get amare, theyd be perfect with each other and yao can play for 15-20mins only and we can afford to sit him out this year.
Ersan Ilyasova. He had a breakout season in Europe and more importantly for the Bucks is his asking price will be much lower. Bucks just don't have the money for CharlieV.
