from the initial video, it looked like a charge. however, when i saw the video posted on the first page, Bogut clearly shuffled his feet... so that was a solid blocking call. as for him traveling, it didnt look like he traveled from the video on the first page. he took one step as he was gathering the ball (which is legal), then, as he spun, took two steps and shot the ball.
Bogut looked like he was shuffling his feet still, looked like a blocking call and I don't like Kobe either.
spot on Nugs4, watched the game last night and maybe it was just because the lakers were in town but the bradley centre seemed to be rocking, maybe skiles can't stick for a long time, but damn that team plays hard and with loads of energy, if they can find a way to reduce their bone headed turnovers and keep Redd involved and shooting well they'll be alright, that ersan dude was great yesterday i have railroaded for years against flopping and for me I thought it was a charge and most certainly not a block, but damn bucks make a free throw
I said it many time when Shaq was on the Lakers. If the refs called charge on his bulldozer moves, he wouldn't have been so dominant in his prime.
A lot of the crowd noise was because of Squad 6. I still remember the Nugs vs Bucks game there where Nene was shooting free throws and you could hear them yelling "NO NO NENE" over and over. It was hilarious. They had a few other good ones too.
Refs aren't to blame for this game at all, the bucks could have won this game easily if they sank free throws. In crunch time they choked, even if they hit one free throw that last shot would have tied the game. We say the call was obvious to make but has one ever reffed a game in real time? All this you can clearly see the call crap would stop because we get to see the game from every angle. Calls are missed and not only for superstars but for others as well we just make a big deal when its one of the NBA elites. When there was a no call earlier when the Cavs played the Bulls this season, Lebron drove and got the ball knocked out of his hand, there was no foul call (lebron felt he was fouled and complained/argued for it, as did kobe on the drive). But on ESPN everyone was like thats a foul or lebron should have gotten the call, so it goes both ways. If it was called a charge ESPN might have talked about why it wasn't a block since the like to center shows around NBA elites LOL. Just saying goes both ways guys )
Saying that "everyone gets officiated badly" is the dumbest excuse for ignoring bad officiating ever.
I have a real bias against Bogut because he's one of the biggest floppers in the NBA who goes unnoticed. The dude is big and skilled, but flops all the damn time. That said, I honestly think that was a block because Bogut didn't take it in the chest. Kobe was off to Bogut's right side, barely made contact and Bogut pulls one of those patented flops. But again, I hate Bogut. Any other player and I might give them the benefit of the doubt, but with Bogut it has to be 100% proof, cuz the man is Jazz type flopper to the bone.
My two cents: Bogut HAD the position, and, if he hadn't shuffled his fee, it would have been a charge; however..... he DID shuffle his feet... so it wasn't a charge. Now, did Kobe travel? Yup. However again, I've seen the refs sometimes call that situation as a blocking foul half the time, and I've seen 'em call it as a charge the other half. Don't get me wrong, I hate the Lakers and I want to see them lose. But I don't think this was a poorly officiated situation. And I sometimes disagree with the previous statement about "blaming the refs is a loser mentality." When the game has had a very close score throughout all 48 minutes, there's an extremely delicate balance that dictates the outcome and in those situations one missed ref call can mean the difference between a win or a loss. In regular games, however, I agree that losses shouldn't be attributed to bad calls by the refs.
glad to hear you hung out/collegued it up with some good traders. never read the neill but it looks like good knowledge to market participants...even though you and i both know the herd mentality will always be around for money to be made from them. so a few years later you can tell them robbie has learned a lot from ALL aspects of the market. also, you can tell them the stuff i post on here just may not actually represent how i trade. i know that's insane to think, but you should know a trader should be a dynamic thinker who changes on the fly...but maybe you don't know that? anyhow, i can see you are still a douche who likes to talk more condescending trash and can't really back it up. it's been a few years and i dunno how many ten of millions of shares traded...so you can tell them robbie is 29, has a chick, 2 dogs, a house in north austin (about 5 min from work), and is one of the top traders at his office. it's nice having the trader lifestyle. also, i've probably paid more in taxes than you have made in the past couple of years . good luck in your trading if you actually do trade and i hope to improve on my many mental weaknesses with my trading going forward...the irony of how success can bring the greatest disappointments. so you can try to back up the trash you talk or just admit i am right and that was a block. look at how bogut shuffled/stuck his leg out to the his right when kobe was spinning around him.
bogut certainly has flopping tendencies, I'm sure samfisher would say its because of his European ancestry for me defensive flopping is a terrible part of the game but very hard to police particularly if there actually is some physical contact on a particular play, but for me the bigger blight on the game and something is actually easier to fix is offense flopping and flailing about like you are drowning or shot when in actual fact there was no contact and perhaps the air move over someone's hairs on the arms........... the superstars own this move...... exhibit a is the well respected mr D wade, even most ardent hater of football can't knock they are have at least tried to stop offensive flopping by giving card for diving, nobody wants to see games decided by air fouls and free throwing shooting, grow a set and stand up players..... now back to the bogut/kobe play, i am little confused as I used to referee at a reasonable level, once you establish defensive position and get to the stop I didn't really you had to be a statue and not move a muscle, sure bogut moves some, but really you feet don't have stay exactly in the same spot to draw a charge if they did you would never see any charges
yeah squad 6 does a great job, the bucks tv coverage was constantly showing them.... the dude looks like a lady chant would be awesome
the worst thing is that the ref just blew the whistle, and didnt call it, until he saw is was kobe, so he went in in favor of the superstar. looking again that play, it is traveling. and in the winning shot kobe moved his pivot feet, and traveled again.
