Looks like the rockets was the straw that broke Griffin's back? https://theathletic.com/5222650/2024/01/23/bucks-adrian-griffin-firing-why-doc-rivers/
I had high hopes for him. Expected growing pains along the way. But after 3 years of getting worse instead of better.... yeah Rockets made the right move with Ime.
Seeing some rumors about his grandchild's suspicious death while in his son's custody. Probably just the internet doing what the internet does.
I assume Giannis and/or Dame don’t care for him but Doc Rivers is absolutely the WRONG answer. Guarantees no title
Griffin was in completely over his head. He started the year with an aggressive trapping scheme even though he had the oldest team in the league and Brook Lopez. Stotts quitting before the season was a huge red flag. Seemed like it may have been improving a little but you can’t waste a title shot with an unqualified coach. Credit to the Bucks for doing it now even though it was probably clear after 10 games. Pivoting to Doc is strange but he’s still an upgrade.
Good thing he took that bag, because he might never get another HC job in the NBA. Personally I thought he was extremely overrated. Thank goodness we pounced on Udoka before the season was over. 2 weeks later and maybe he's in on the Bucks job.
Giannis taking a page from Harden's book of fuucking things up. Yea, you endorse a guy and six months later, condemn him. It doesnt matter though. Why? Because in the Harden book of fuucking things up, the star of the team can say and do whatever he wants and its not his fault. And when things truely fall apart, you demand a trade.
Amazing. Doc Rivers has does a few things well...blow playoff series AND scare off stars. Seems like a really dumb move for them. He must interview really well.
