    Lets go get Amar'e.

26 yrs old. Yeah he has injury problems, but it's not the same injury over and over is it?

Get Amare, extension, and worry about Yao 2010...because he might not play another game for us :(

Maybe i'm over reacting, but IDK how to react to this. It sucks it seemed we were so close to finally be a contending team and then this crap.

He is not in the same boat as Mcgrady. He's worse. Mcgrady is an expiring contract. Yao will most likely not opt of his contract which means he still has two years. Nobody is going to take a 17 million per year player for two years when he can't get onto the court.

Just like the McGrady situation early last year, it's preferable to know a player is out than to be in this perpetual limbo where the team is not sure what to do. Yao may come back and play, but there is no way he can be a max contract player. The Rockets have to now prepare for life without Yao. This also means that it is less likely that McGrady will be flipped for players who have long contracts, unless they are significant players. That would explain passing on Vince Carter, for example. I'm just numb to all this now.
