Without a doubt, that is Memphis' biggest problem. Besides Conley, their starting lineup is made up of players that they either traded for or signed in free agency. If they want to make the next step, or if they want more consistent success in the future, improving how they draft will be key.
SixersCEOAdam Adam Aron [rQUOTEr]Yes, he wasn't getting playing time here and we got 2 draft choices back. We wish him well. RT @awhitney23 Speights on the move?[/rQUOTEr]
Memphis needed a big body and they got one. Looks like Vuvevic will see time. Nice job for the Hornets to get Xavier Henry as well, they needed wing depth behind Gordon and Ariza.
I will say this... I do hope Xavier Henry gets consistent playing time for the Hornets. I want to see what he can do.
What's funny is that they picked Conley but also discarded Lowry for almost nothing as a result. That team's ability judge young talent has to be the worst in the NBA.
Oh I don't know? Could be something to do with the fact that we have several guys who are already at the same 'level' as Speights, but without the attitude problems? There is a very good reason that Speights only played 11 minutes the last 2 years. Sure, he's a "talent" - but one that certainly comes with a bit of baggage! Would I like to see him on the Rockets instead of Jordan Hill? SURE - but not if it is going to cost me 2 picks + capspace.
