Lol so their reason for him not being the best offensive player of all time is because he was never surrounded with championship team
This nba is a business. We all gotta accept that Harden is the “bad guy.” These players know and accept their roles. Without the narratives that drive these forums that were in, nba is just a bunch of guys bouncing a ball and throwing it into a hoop.
I thought it was fair. His step back being “ this generations sky” hook is a pretty big compliment. To even be in this conversation gives validity to what he is currently achieving. I know people hate to give him credit for being the force that he has become, but I think the national narrative will come around. He is making it undeniable.
They immediately start with the premise that he isn’t the conversation for best offense player of all time but provide zero evidence to contradict Morey’s claim.
I watched this and concluded that "best offensive player" is a stupid title unless it's tied to "ever". They're doing this cater to a constiuent that feels he's been slighted in overall coverage by saying he's great but not MVP. MVP and All-Star starter are tangible accolades. "Best offensive player... this year" is tier 3 level praise. Not impressed. What he alludes to that I believe is missing in coverage is his impact on the greater game of basketball. It's the stuff of legends.
Why do they have to put offensive player in front of hardens name.. why can’t they just say best player
